This year's DID

This year's DID has been a refreshing one. The masters genuinely praise each other but I miss the old DID in terms of dance. "Dance" should be the main content but the masters are playing it safe. I love Dhiraj, he must be one of the best looking guy in the DID history but I am tired of seeing his same dance. He and the girl almost always does Indian or regular contemporary or freestyle. Someone once compared their pair to Shakti & Kunwar which is extremely unfair. S & K did a lot of different kinds of dance. I am tired of seeing Shruti's kids doing the same. The girls normally do contemporary or indian classical & the best king does popping & Manan does his dance. Why can't Manan do contemporary for once. Froze tries & maybe because he was experimenting so much and as a result he only has 2 contestants.

I miss Remo, Geeta & Terrence especially when they say "yeh aap ki forte hai, do a different style next time" . Even Darmesh did classical & contemporary though he is the Master of lyrical(I loveee this guy) Raghav did arial. Why can't the new judges do sth new or have the courage to say it outright when the contestants do the same kind of dance everytime.

On judging the dances shruti always says the truth while the female choreographer last year (Geeta) always praised her people and even if they did a bad dances she would be like no it was good. and shruti gives better dances to her people then Geeta. All of the judges say the trith and understand. I have to say shurti is the best choreographer this year. This year the the weakest choreographer is feroz. As u said his experimenting was why he has 2 people now. And the new choreographers, even if they give the same type of dance form, they give way better dances than the old choreographers. Sorry to say but I didn't like the old choreographers.🤢

This is a new season with new judges so I didn't have an preconceived idea about anyone of them. I enjoyed watching Mudassar's antics on TV, he was sweet & funny & still is very entertaining. But after all these episodes, the judges have finally started showing their true personalities. I am not comparing them to the old judges, they had started becoming very protective & possessive about their dancers & would only praise their own kids no matter how bad they performed. Whereas the new judges are a good change and they are pretty fair. Shruti is the fairest of them all, she gives fair judgements. Feroze plays it very safe (which is boring), he never says anything bad about the dances except that one time & Mudassar seems to often find a fault here & there with only Feroze's dancers, he doesn't say negative things to Shruti's kids but he always has something for Feroze. I guess the only saving grace of the show is Mithun & Jai, they've improved their camaraderie. Btw, Ishita should wear smaller heels so she can walk faster. It's funny to see her struggling behind Jai when they come on the stage after a dance performance.

Dance India Dance Season 4 - Blunders

1. They gave priority to Versatility over Uniqueness/X-Factor during the selection and did not select dancers like Shakti Pal, Bhumeet, H.R. Raja. While these so-called versatile selected contestants never tried new styles, like ever. Everyone is doing the same thing again and again. Then what was even the point of letting go off the creative and unique dancers.

2. There was no Age-Limit this time. They selected three 14 year old dancers , better would have been letting them participate in DID Li'l Masters S-3 which anyways is starting soon. For me this was 3 seats wasted. Eventhough Suniketa is a great dancer and sad she got eliminated yesterday. But had she been apart of Li'l Masters, would have been fair to her and others as well.

3. DID scripts. I really don't get it, why they are wasting so much time on the Mudassar-Ishita Drama.

4. Amongst the judges Mudassar seem to always have a problem with Feroz ke Fauj. He never fully appreciates them. Even when the act is great he always points out mistakes. Shruti seems like the fair one. While Feroz appreciates an act if its good , and if it ain't good he makes sure to tell the contestants, even if its his own team.

Overall the season is a bore! I am only excited about next week because Li'l masters are coming to support DID-4 contestants. Yipeee

I agree with you!! I have been watching the show and some of the contestants are unnecessarily hyped whereas some of them are just not!
