Ambedkar constitution has been grossly manipulated - he had fixed time frame set for reservation he never mentioned it to be long term or never ending ! it was governments who went on abusing it for own personal agendas .Originally posted by: RamAayeHain
Never meet your Hero I guess 🤷🙄
Iska kabhi kuch soln nikalte nahi dikh raha ab to
If people can vote for cast against development, if they get scared even thinking what would happen if reservations ended then reservations bad badhte jaayenge in future 😔
Next Ambedkar himself was supported by uppercase man who funded his education .
From what I understand his logic was if atleast one generation of underprivileged are uplifted then the next generations will benefit but that scheme has become generations after generation.

I know he only said for 10 years but govt ke sath sath public bhi kyu hi give up karegi, tab to desh ki haalat bhi itni acchi nahi thi, people would not have given up for sure, if ruling govt khatam karti to opposition waapas laane ka manifesto rakhti aur agar opposition khatam karne ko bolti to ruling govt kabhi nahi karti
So baat hi khatam, that's why ye idea flawed tha
JDU itni meherban kyu hai

Ye Times Algebra kitna reliable hai yaar?
I agree with most of your points but differ with your statements about some parts of AP being backwards, it's definitely not the case if not for the messy bifurcation of the state and CBN developing Hyderabad over zealously for real estate gains to his lobby, AP has been doing pretty well and most of development in AP is on par with it's neighbouring states. All the south states have been shielded from Muslim invasion except for few pockets hence knowledge always flourished due to the geography (mountains separating central to south central India)and thanks to the bay of Bengal even during British era development of South has never stopped and only in WB the development came to a grinding halt after independence thanks to the communist rule and continuation of same pointless policies till now. We can't compare India not because of the lack of resources like oil and gas but because India has huge human talentand their potential waiting to be tapped.

it's misleading to club all the southern states as one and compare with north, because performance across south has not been unform. The economy of Tamil Nadu for example has been different from that of Kerala which has been different from those of Andhra and Karnataka. Kerala on the other hand has had a sizeable portion of it's workers work overseas and in other states- because the state could not create enough jobs. How's that for state policy? Large portions of Andhra are still backward...
Second, for the most part, since 1967, states like Tamil Nadu have been ruled by other parties, not congress. Incidentally the Bimaru states have been ruled by congress and it's allies in UPA for the most part- the yadavs and lalus. Congress has decimated growth wherever it has gone fulfilling it's freebies promises and it's need to run scams for personal enrichment. Happening now in Karnataka and earlier in Punjab when they ran up deficits.
Third, and very importantly, states like Tamil Nadu have a history of heaving made early investments in healthcare and education which are paying off today. Not sure how much of that was foresight and how much lack of other options then. Anyway, they can actually afford some of the welfare spending they have now. These states would have ended up as disasters if they had spent on welfare instead of healthcare and education then, much like the bimaru states. Healthcare and education happen to be investment spending, something BJP knows a thing or two about... though it's focus so far has been on mostly infrastructure (and a bit on education-oriented) investment spending.
Around the time of the agricultural revolution, Punjab spent on agriculture. They did well then... but then never diversified or worked on better farming techniques. They kept on arbitraging the free water, electricity aspects. And they kept running up deficits. Combined with the fact they are a border state with drug inflow, they are a special case.
Wes Bengal is a clear example of how disastrous it is to pursue welfare economies. Especially for a country with scarce resources. We really cant afford more of the same nation-wide, even a bit of it. The federal deficit is just about manageable, as iare the credit ratings and the rupee. With increased populist spending, these would be in the dog-house.
let's develop first and then engage in welfare spending. Norway and other countries with rich human indices first found oil money, then came up with welfare programs. They have so much money they cant find enough programs to spend on!
coming back to Modi, they refrained from wasteful populist spending which ruling parties engage in before elections to win. His budget was conservative. While it may have showed confidence in his winning the elections, it also shows he approached his job with the fiscal discipline we need. Unlike the Pappus of the world who think tax payer money is theirs to loot, Modi has been careful to not bust our budget. For that alone and for his focus on capex and defense spending, we need to have him around. We cant have a weak PM who gives in to populist demands from all sides.
I stand behind the "gdp relative to other countries" statistics I mentioned earlier. The best way to compare performance is against other countries, and that's where it becomes apparent that NDA outperforms, Congress underperforms.
