I remember a thread where there had been a kind of 'competition' between members to post tweets of violence done alternatingly by humans belonging to one of two different main religions to humans belonging to the other one...

Will this thread repeat that?

Compensation with money is general judiciary use (especially in US) - regardless the crime. I don't know how difficult it would be for the couple to assist at a trial (if ever one would happen).

I'm seeing a lot of videos of women being assaulted on social media recently since this incident, probably older ones from villages or small towns given the premises.

It's high time they reinforce laws regarding safety of women because most men here unfortunately are sociopaths.

I'd say the tourists, specially females, should stick to certain places and not venture in unknown areas. The risk isn't worth it.

This above tweet and the hashtag whatswrongwithindia is n eye-opener.

As much wrong as any other country..as much unsafe as it was earlier...as much unsafe as other countries shown in those videos.

It's not like world has been safe for women ever..a woman's respect n dignity has been one of the first casualties in any war since time immemorial.

But right now it's twitter algorithm at play.. a negative tweet about India is getting traction even if u have few followers..seeing so many in my timeline, people I don't know, haven't heard about, not even related to India and totally irrelevant to me.

So these guys who made the above hashtag trend have understood the algorithm and r playing with it 🙂

Pls travel..and be cautious as u would be anywhere. My parents travelled to Europe and they were also cautioned against many things.

A friend went to Bali and she was told to not venture out after evening. Was still mugged in broad daylight and her phone was stolen.

U r advised against taking a walk in some lanes of Chicago downtown.

So ya just be cautious of rogue elements everywhere. There r multiple vloggers, male n female, who were impressed with the hospitality..u can watch their videos to get a perspective

For those planning to visit, it’s recommended to check the latest travel advisories and visa requirements to ensure a smooth journey. Whether you’re interested in exploring ancient ruins, enjoying the local cuisine, or experiencing spiritual retreats, India has something to offer every traveler

If you don't know the local language of a country you're visiting, don't go on a road trip there. That's the mistake that the Brazilian couple made. Note to foreigners: India is not an English speaking country, such as US, Australia, UK, contrary to what people believe about call centers

This has to be most disappointing thread on if at this moment. India is not English speaking and twitter has negative algorithm ... dont go to unknown place and rape happens in usa also is what people could come up with smiley20
