Christian Missionary does these conversions a lot of poor hindus.
When a person from SC community converts into Christianity SC status is lost.If I am not wrong it applies to OBC community people too. So that's why many people from SC community even if they convert to Christianity they do not document themselves as Christians.On records they are still Hindus who continue to benefit from reservations.
If at all any person from SC community converts to Christianity and document themselves as Christians and still mention their caste they are considered under OBCs where they get 1 % reservation which is as good or as bad as not having reservation. Even if they avail that reservation it gets removed under creamy layer for their offspring.
What I mean to say is real Christians are not getting any benefits from the Govt.Foreign funds is a big myth perpetuated by right wing idealogues. I know this because I work in non profit organisation run by the Church in India. People who work in these institutions are mostly Christians who work for low wages.The church run institutions are mainly educational institutions and hospitals.
Previously under public private partnership iniative by the state governments the school teachers used to be paid by the state govt and the infra structure was put up using Church funds.It actually yielded very good results because these school offered free education and the teachers are appointed according to the govt regulations so the teachers were top notch whether they were Christians non christians. Quality of education given in these schoold was top notch back then.But now with mostt governments cutting funds for govt aided schools the schools struggle to pay the teachers their salaries while trying to cater to the lower strata of the society. Nobody seem to appreciate this fact.
Bottom line is if Priests/Church used money and incentives to convert people why Christian population in our country is only 2%? The truth is they don't even have money to pay their priests.

& I have read files, reports were Orphanage run by Christians converts other religion kids.
Also it is a fact that funding is given to do conversion.
Census was done almost 15 yrs back.
Christianity and Islam both has done conversions in India and no proper report can tell the real stats, but it doesn't mean it isn't happening.
Manipur issue is happening due to it, other NE states has clear Christian majority so minorities can't resist.
It is only Manipur where Christianity is not at more than 80% so they are killing, harrasing Hindus, worst even killing and abusing our CRPF.

There are always two sides to a story. One can believe what they want. Census if done now will also have the percentage of Christians most likely the same as in 2011.
Point to ponder - Is religion so trivial that people exchange it for a few goodies thrown in? If they changed their religion for such goodies then their original religion must have meant very little to them in the first place.
Another point - Conversions into Christianity happened before 1947 and some sections of people in the society may have benefitted from converting into Christianity. But post independence majority of people from these very same section went back to calling them Hindus and SCs because government doesn't give SC status to Christians even if they belonged to that community.So today 90% of the people who converted to Christianity went back to being Hindu SCs.
So what benefits can Christianity can offer?Nothing. If they are indeed rice bag Christians why not offer them double the amount of rice bags and conduct ghar vapsi for them?
