well its a little sigh of relief but definitely not something we can rejoice with. reason? even after passing laws, the people who break the rules never cares.

a beautiful girl still shall not feel safe until she finds a stranger stalking her and forcing her to marry him. and when she says no, she would always be living in fear from where would the guy come and drop the acid on her face. creepy isn't it? I am a girl too. and i can understand these laws do not matter until they are seriously implemented.

cops harass young boys everyday on bikes, and charge against them. why can't do the same against criminals.

Agree with you...😊
Girls will feel safe only and only when the punishment is made extremely harsh. The victim should be allowed to throw acid on the boy's face. This will create a fear in the mind of the boy.

an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, can never be a solution. Necessary to fight against these crimes strongly and with a human approach. Yes, the laws need to be strengthened. And then the laws need to be implemented. Most importantly, if laws are not implemented, then that too has to be dealt with strongly.

It is so easy to say, there is a rule that one should wear helmets, yet people are not wearing. Who are the people who are breaking the law, the rules? Is everyone who is breaking the rule, a person with no understanding of the law? I disagree. As a country, majority of us, do not have any respect for discipline. In other words, no respect for the fellow being. If we had we would not be jumping signals.

It might seem to be stupid and a very simplistic approach to something as complex as sale of acid and the crimes resulting from it. But there are many of us, who would never stop and raise a voice, when we see a girl harassed. Or for that matter when a powerful person creates a ruckus on the street.

While there is a drastic need for discipline, rules, laws to strengthened from the administration, there is also a great need for us to set examples by adhering to it. If three people decide to stop their vehicles when the signal is red, then surely there would be three more who would see that and feel odd if they jump the signal.

I believe that the criminal should suffer the same amount of pain what is faced by the victim.

There should be a fear of law because it is very difficult to change people's attitude..If the law is stronger and like other countries if they impose huge fines like millions that could help somewhat...Also making offense against women as non-bailable would be very greatly..

Agreed...😊

The worst part is that after committing the crime, they ask for bail...and the court grants them too...🤢 How we except justice for girls in this kind of a weak law system..???

Its good gesture of government that one cant blatantly sell acid in market and even customers cant buy it easily as it used to be earlier. I recently heard that in my town,NOW shopkeepers ask for Identity Card from customers when they go to buy ACID.
