* Going to police and all may not stop the crime. The real solution lies with the law. One thing that Rashmi could do was to torture the boy after marrying him..Yes...you read it right. When that boy offered her to take 5 lakhs rupees and marriage, she should have said YES.
Then, she could easily take her revenge by throwing acid on HIS face when he is with her...

* No doubt, Indian society is hypocrite. Restrictions should be placed on boys not on girls...
Mothers are responsible for this. They are mad for son and when he is born, they shower all the love on him. This makes him feel that he can do whatever he want and girls are inferior to the boys...

yes, yeh baat main agree karungi acid ke badle Acid hi hona chayiye.

waise philhaal kuch bhi hadsaa ho rahe hai, to victim family ko compensation offer kiya jaa raha hai.

agar compensation hi sab kuch hai, to itni baadi justice system ki kya zarurat hai???????

waise mujhe lagta hai woh family sirf aapne bete ko jail se churane ke liye woh sab offer kiya tha,
lagta hai iss case main Police ne thik se Chargesheet pesh kiya hai, iss liye uss ladke ko bail nahin mila. isliye case withdraw karne ke liye Victim ko family ko threat kiya jaa raha hai.compensation bhi offer kiya jaa raha hai.

saaza bhi to dekho sirf 10 saal????? woh bhi shayad nahin hota.

Acid Attack Victims ke ilaz ke liye bhi koi facility nahin.iss ilaz ka jo cost hai woh ek Middle Class family ke liye bhi uthana muskil hai.aise Lower classes ki baat to chodo.

issi liye Sonali Mukherjee ne Euthanasia mangi thi.kyun ki iss desh main naa to insaaf paane ki chance hai, naa hi naayi Zindagi paane ki.phir bachta kya hai?????????????

Right...
Its foolish to expect justice in India...

The punishment is a big joke..
Just 7 years for rape...🤢 rape kills a girl from inside. It takes away her happiness and all the joys of life but still only 7 years..????😡

There is not much difference between Sonali and Indergeet.
Sonali asked for mercy killing and Indergeet tried to attempt suicide...
Both of them were fed up with their lives...And, its obvious...You cant see...cant hear..cant talk...cant face the world...
Crave for justice...😡

Jeena ka kya matlab..??

SC pulls up Centre, says government not serious about preventing acid attacks

PTI | Jul 9, 2013, 12.18 PM IST

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has pulled up the Centre for not being serious in framing a scheme to curb sale of acid to prevent acid attack cases.

People are dying every day because of acid attacks but you are not worried about it, the apex court told the Centre.

If the government fails to come out with a scheme, we would pass an order on curbing easy-availability of acid in the market, the top court said.

I disagree here. If my brother had done this kind of brutal act, forget about fighting for his bail, I will not even see his face again in life...
How can a family be so selfish and forgive the criminal because he is a part of your family..????

Muskaan that's to say. Remember at that time it was one person's word against the other. So at the beginning even I would have supported my brother if all it was an accusation, but yes, if the proof came up then even I wouldn't support my brother.

The moment I come to know about my brother's (or any family members) deeds, I will take serious action with him...
Every girl should take this oath and raise her voice.

Punjab acid attack victim Inderjit Kaur fights on for justice

PLAYClick to Expand & Play

Morinda: Inderjit Kaur has undergone six reconstruction surgeries, tried to commit suicide twice and finally decided she won't put up with a life brought upon her by an acid attack in December last year. I will fight for justice, says the 24-year-old resident of Morinda in Punjab.

Inderjit's life changed for the worst when Manjit, a man who wanted to marry her, threw acid on her after his wedding proposal was turned down. Manjit belongs to Zirakpur in Punjab.

Inderjit lost one of her eyes in the attack. Doctors are hopeful her other eye can be saved. Inderjit's poor family spent Rs. 9 lakh on her reconstruction surgeries and approached the courts, but it's been a far rougher ride that the mother and daughter would have imagined.

"I feel ashamed to be born in India," says Inderjit, who sees life from behind a veil now. "Had I been born is the US or some other country, such a thing would have never happened."

She says she had thought of committing suicide but decided to fight on so that her case serves as an inspiration for other victims of acid attacks that are so common in India.

Manjit Kaur, Inderjit's mother who cooks at the local gurdwara, says: "My daughter wanted to study further, do an MA and then PhD. She was working in a private company. We had many plans for her."

The family says raising more money for Inderjit's treatment is almost impossible and the courts are their last hope.

This is so true and so sad. In Canada there may be murders, kidnappings, and other crimes, but as long as you don't make any enemies or mind your own business, you're not going to get hurt. As a girl I feel safe walking outside and like Inderjit even one of my friends had a pagal aashiq, but she threatened him once with police and he ran off. In India it doesn't matter how you live or how you act, you're bound to get into trouble somehow.
