Tilak Varma was the central character pretty much in the rather topsy-turvy tale that was the third T20I. "I cannot put my feelings into words," he said. "It was my dream to hit a hundred for the country and I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Coming back from an injury and hitting a hundred is incredible.

"It [the celebration] was for Surya (captain Suryakumar Yadav), because he gave me this opportunity to bat at No. 3. I had told him that I was going to perform. That's why I pointed towards him."

All eyes on Samson after twin failures

Sanju Samson would surely like to forget that he is turning into Marco Jansen's 'bunny' after back-to-back ducks in the last two matches.

Weather--

There is a forecast for showers in Johannesburg, around 4pm local time, half an hour before the toss (8:30pm IST). But it should be brief and is unlikely to hamper the game

Team India to continue with their fearless approach

India stand-in head coach VVS Laxman said his side has been playing "fearless" cricket in the on-going T20I series against South Africa, and the approach, for him, was the primary reason behind the wholehearted support the visitors receive anywhere across the globe.

India are leading the four-match T20I series 2-1 and the final match will be played at the Wanderers.

"What we have seen in these three matches is the fearless approach of this team," Laxman said during a reception hosted for the Indian team here on Thursday night.

Laxman said the entertaining the fans is an important part of the game along with winning the matches.

"During any tours to any foreign country, we play and try to entertain the crowd. And we always feel that we are playing at home.

"The reason for that is all the wonderful fans of the Indian cricket team โ€“ the Diaspora of India who settled down in various countries but still love the Indian team and the Indian cricketers," he added.

"I don't know if the support was for the home team or for our team (in SA). There was a lot more blue in the crowd than actually green," Laxman said.

Debuts for Vysakh Vijaykumar or Yash Dayal?

In the first three games, India utilized 12 of their 15 players. It will be intriguing to watch if any of the two uncapped pacers, Vysakh Vijaykumar or Yash Dayal, receives their first cap if the pitch calls for an additional specialist speedy.

Since Ramandeep Singh can be a useful player with a variety of skills, including the ability to field at all positions except keeping, it wouldn't be a bad idea for captain Surya to assess his steady medium speed in the final game.

Can Arshdeep Singh go past Yuzvendra Chahal?

Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh (92) needs five wickets to become the highest wicket-taker for India in T20Is.
