I think Root hold record of near 2000 runs in calender year or Mohd Yousuf ( also known as Yohana before he accepted Muslim dharm)previously hold that record with 1788 runs in calender year.

A little change noticed in Shubman Gill's technique. He was defending behind his pads in the first innings, but now is getting his hands and bat much more forward to meet the ball ahead of his pads.
