All out ugh horrible
As remarkable as India's counter-punch was in this innings, their collapse against the 2nd new ball was just as dramatic. They've gone from 408/3 to 462 all-out. That was an excellent session for New Zealand. Their seamers, after going missing at the start of the innings, came back strongly with the 2nd new ball and mopped things up. The consistency was back and with the pitch offering a little help, India crumbled and it was hard not to draw some parallels to what transpired when they batted the first time around in this game. Still, India's turnaround after such a horrific show in the 1st innings cannot be understated. They had New Zealand under the pump for large parts of this innings and extraordinarily, scored a little more than 10x the runs they did in their first innings. Yet, with just a 106 to chase, it's hard to argue that New Zealand isn't firmly ahead in this game. The pitch has deteriorated, there are cracks for the seamers and a lot of rough for the spinners but it'll require a special effort from India's bowlers to win it from here. For New Zealand, it's all about sensible batting.
Only Rain can save us now, otherwise we will easily lose the game
