India vs New Zealand:

India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar wants "domestic beast" Sarfaraz Khan to translate his form into international cricket and score a triple hundred in the Bengaluru Test. India still trail by 125 runs at the start of Day 4 of the Test match.

STAT: 22nd instance of an India batter registering a duck and a hundred in the same Test,

the most recent being Shubman Gill against Bangladesh in Chennai last month. The only other Indian to do that against New Zealand was Shikhar Dhawan - 0 and 115 at the Eden Park, Auckland in 2014.

IND trail by 65 runs.

KL Rahul will be tensed now. He needs to play well and get a lead next.

Amazing first half of the morning session. Sarfaraz did the bulk of the scoring and put on a brave show. Pant played sensibly and did open up when he had a chance. ๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿงฟ

Sanjit: "Elaborating on similarities between Sarfaraz and Steve Smith, both are fidgety, stationery feet while playing shots, fast hands, seem to have lot of time to play shots. "

Suraj: "what should be the total that can be defended in these conditions? would 200 do?" More the better but that's a good starting aim

Param echoes Harsha Bhogle's word on comms from a little while back: "I am reminded of the frequent comment - why don't India play their second innings first!"
