I didnt really get why Harmanpreet gave strike to Shreyanka in the last 2 balls, she could have tried to hit sixes the last 2 balls.
If it was cause of NRR it doesnt make sense cause if NZ wins to PAK, IND will be eliminated. And if NZ loses regardless of margin IND will qualify cause they already had a stronger NRR than NZ.
Now IND would need to rely on PAK for their semi chances π€―

The Sophie Devine-led side is just a step away from earning their semi-final berth. However, this game is not just important for them, as the Indian team will also have a close eye on the results of this match.
White Ferns are currently in the third position in the tally with four points and a positive Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.282. If the side manages to win this clash with a good margin they will go through.
However, their only hope will be that Tam India concedes a defeat at the hands of the defending champions, Australia. Meanwhile, Pakistan has not had a memorable tournament so far, losing two of the three games.
But the Women in Green can play a huge role in deciding the future of New Zealand and India in the ongoing Women's T20 World Cup. If Pakistan manages to win the game they might have similar points, but due to their poor NRR, might not be in contention for the qualification race.
Qualification possibilities are aplenty as New Zealand gear up to face Pakistan for the final league game from Group A.
Defending champions Australia have already booked their berth in the semifinals with wins in all their four games but the other spot is still up for grabs. New Zealand remains the frontrunner in the race as a win against Pakistan would be enough for the White Ferns to go through while a defeat for them would prove beneficial to India, who currently sit at second spot due to a better net run rate.
The track at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is well balanced as both batters and bowlers will get some assistance from the pitch. The conditions will assist the spinners, mainly due to the slowness of the track as the game progresses. Hence, for the skipper winning the toss, opting to bowl first and chasing the target could be a wise decision at this venue.
What to expect: Surfaces in Dubai have been relatively better to bat on due to better pace and bounce in the surfaces but spin will continue to play a key part, especially with the pitches likely to be tired. Toss hasn't been much of a factor here as the win split is a marginal 3-2 in favour of chasing sides against teams batting first.
Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine (c), Brooke Halliday, Maddy Green, Isabella Gaze (wk), Leigh Kasperek, Lea Tahuhu, Rosemary Mair, Eden Carson.

New Zealand did get things right with a neat win over Sri Lanka but on these Sharjah pitches, net run rate boosts are hard to come by, even though England made a mockery of that factor against Scotland. The White Ferns are a poignant unit and, like their men's counterparts, remain an understatedly dangerous side. They would, however, want more from their support spinners as Amelia Kerr has been doing most of the heavy lifting. Georgia Plimmer's form will come as a relief to the batting line-up while Kerr and skipper Sophie Devine are obvious threats to any opponent.
Conditions in Dubai should also suit New Zealand a lot more than they would in Sharjah, given the better bounce in the pitches. It is also a venue where Pakistan have lost both their games with the lone win against Sri Lanka coming at Sharjah. That said, they have literally nothing to lose in this fixture as a qualification spot realistically looks far-fetched at this point. And it's in such scenarios that their unpredictability makes them a bigger threat. Batting has been their major concern and even in the win against the Lankans, it's skipper Fatima Sana's knock that saved them the blushes.
New Zealand Women's batter Georgia Plimmer featured in three games so far and has been the team's best batter. With 91 runs under her belt, Plimmer has played some counter-attacking innings at the top. In the previous game against Sri Lanka, the 20-year-old smashed a sublime fifty to take her side over the line. She will be hoping to continue her batting rhythm in the next game as well.
Probable Best Bowler: Amelia Kerr
New Zealand Women's all-rounder Amelia Kerr has bagged seven wickets in three games and is the third-highest wicket-taker of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 edition. In the game against Sri Lanka, she picked two crucial wickets and played a crucial role in the side's second victory of the tournament. Kerr will be hoping to back her skills once again for the clash against Women in Green.

Sana, who missed the game against Australia due to her father's sudden demise, has returned to UAE shores and will be back for this clash. Lately, she has been easily Pakistan's most fluent batter in this format and it shall be interesting to see whether she wants to bat higher up the order or continue to take the responsibility of being just as the finisher. Pakistan needs more from their openers who have failed to get going in this tournament. If they can get the batting sorted, the bowling in these conditions has the potential to pull a rabbit out of the hat, particularly in the spin department. The absence of pacer Diana Baig, who has been ruled out of the tournament with a calf muscle, will be a major blow.
Team News
New Zealand: The White Ferns are expected to retain the same XI even as uncertainty looms around Fran Jonas's finger. Also, Kasparek's presence lends depth in firepower to the batting line-up.
Probable XI: Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine (c), Maddy Green, Brooke Halliday, Isabella Gaze(wk), Lea Tahuhu, Leigh Kasparek Rosemary Mair, Eden Carson.
Pakistan: Having their skipper back is a major boost for them and one of Iram Javed and Sadaf Shamas would make way for Sana. With Baig out of action, Pakistan are likely to retain the same bowling combination, given the inexperience in the pace backups.
