Let's try this once more, shall we? Hello everyone and warm welcome to day three of the second Test between Bangladesh and India. Inserted to bat on a soft deck, the visitors batted quite well to get to 107/3 before bad light and rain forced early stumps on the opening day. No play was possible yesterday due to rain/wet outfield. What's in store for us today? While the forecast isn't ideal, currently there's no rain in Kanpur. Some of the covers have come off, the square is still covered, the groundsmen have started the moppng up work and the super sopper is in action. There's going to be an inspection at 10 AM! So once again, we'll have a delayed start.

The main cover is being peeled off. Even the carpet covering the pitch has been removed.

"The ground is still quite wet," reckons Murali Kartik on air. However, the stumps are being erected. Let's hope we get a start time after the inspection which is set to take place in half an hour.

"UPDATE: Next inspection to take place at 12 PM IST," is the latest post on X from BCCI. The umpires certainly aren't happy with some of the wet patches on the the outfield. As a result, we have lost one more session.

"The ground's soggy. No sunlight for it to dry. Lots of soggy patches. Black soil surface - it has been under the hessian. It has underlying moisture. The Indian bowlers will enjoy bowling. It is a bit damp. There are patches where the bowlers will tempt the batters to play shots. Not easy to bat, especially in the first hour whenever the play starts," reckon Murali Kartik and Athar Ali Khan.
