England win the toss and bowl.
"Huge game, good nerves, good energy around the team and in the stadium," says Jos Buttler. "Both teams in red-hot form, looks a good wicket, a bit of weather around which is why we bowled first."
Unchanged team for England, so no Wood, no Willey, no Malan. Jordan and Salt play.
Babar would have bowled first, "we'll try to put runs on the board and put pressure on. The way the team is playing is outstanding. History repeats [from 1992]... we'll do our best."

So, that's the stage set. England have won a handy toss in the circumstances, who knows what adjustments we will face if the weather closes in, but definitely handy to know what's required of you when DLS gets stuck in

England
Injured/Unavailable: Dawid Malan (groin) and Mark Wood (hip) remain doubts with England facing a quick turnaround before the final. However, the pair was put through its paces by the fitness team. While Wood sent down a few deliveries, Malan faced throwdowns from Michael Hussey for a significant duration of time. England though would be tempted to not risk a player that is not a 100% fit in a World Cup final. With Melbourne offering larger square boundaries, there will be a tactical temptation to play a swing bowler in the mould of David Willey over Chris Jordan whose natural full lengths suited the Adelaide Oval and its long straight boundaries.
Tactics & Matchups: Adil Rashid has a good record against both Babar Azam (dismissed thrice) and Mohammad Rizwan (dismissed twice) and could be called up to bowl at the end of the PowerPlay once again after his success against India. Azam and Rizwan have been otherwise prolific against England and average 50.91 at 142.86 SR and 58.00 at 134.88 SR respectively.
