It has been drizzling in Sylhet for the past half an hour and covers are on.

Both teams met in their least league game where India spinners bowled Thailand out for 37, their third-lowest total in the Asia Cup. However, Thailand confirmed their place in the last four of the Women's Asia Cup for the first time, after Bangladesh's last league game against UAE on Tuesday morning was washed out.

Raji what will happen if today's match gets washed out?

I think the winner will be decided on the basis of who won more games in the round robin, who has better net run rate and who won against the other in their previous encounter.

This is what normally happens in other tournaments and India has every chance to go to finals if it comes to that.

Otherwise also they have a better chance to reach finals.😊

Cheers..

Thailand's success at the tournament has been powered by their openers Nannapat Koncharoenkai and Natthakan Chantham, and the captain Naruemol Chaiwai who makes up the top three in their batting line-up. With the ball, left-arm spinner Thipatcha Putthawong is among the top five wicket-takers with eight scalps.

What a moment this is for Thailand who've made it through to this stage for the first time in the competition, winning three matches out of six and booking their place after hosts Bangladesh crashed out late in the league stages. But can Naruemol Chaiwai's team go one step further? It's going to take some doing against a powerful Indian team who crushed them by nine wickets earlier in the competition. Barring a close defeat to Pakistan, India have swatted aside every opposition they've faced so far and will be favourites here today.

It is a very good learning experience for the Thailand team players. ❤️

They got a chance to play with the highly competitive team at semifinal level. ⭐️
