A cracking game of T20 cricket. Momentum ebbed and flowed many times, and this could have gone either ways really. Athapaththu has her girls in a huddle, probably telling them that they weren't far off the mark. They certainly weren't. But the fielding was a let-down and it cost them big. Dropped catches, lazy efforts and the skipper herself bowled a poor over at a crucial juncture of the run chase. Despite all this, Pakistan had to sweat it out till the very end. A quick start gave them room for comfort but constant wickets, including that of Maroof and Riaz certainly pegged them back.

It was upto senior pro Dar to shore up things and as she has done so often in her career, the all-rounder stepped up and found an able partner in Riaz who hit some timely blows. The pair looked to have it under control but on these slow, low pitches, no chase is easy. Sri Lanka would have fancied a deja vu of their win against Bangladesh but young Naseem wasn't having any of it. Two monster blows and that was game-set-match. What a cracker of a game though! SL will rue their batting performance as well, they were set for a 130-140 score but eventually fell under 115.

Chamari Athapaththu | SL captain: Happy about my form after not scoring in the last six matches. Not happy with our batting effort after the start we got. We could have scored 140-150 if we did better. Hopefully we can execute better in the semifinal. Have told my girls to be positive and be brave. We bowled well, but we also knew that this score wasn't going to be enough. Hope we can bat better.

Bismah Maroof | Pakistan captain: How we bowled after the way they started with the bat, was really good. Omaima in particular was outstanding. They were quite positive from the start, put pressure on our bowlers but we responded well with the wickets. We believe in our batting depth and wanted ourselves to be tested. She (Naseem) matches from any situation with the way she plays. Nida and Aliya batted well.

Omaima Sohail | Player of the Match: I didn't expect this (five wickets) but it was a wonderful track for bowling. Really happy because it helped my team to make a comeback in the game. My plan was simple - to contain the batters - and it helped me.
