We are expecting a one-sided game in Sylhet with India Women playing some excellent cricket over recent months. Although Sri Lanka Women did win the last meeting between the teams, we are precicting a comfortable victory for India Women.

India Women are favorites to beat Sri Lanka Women

This tournament is basically a practice for the repeat of last final. smiley36

I dont see ANY team challenging India and BD.

Yes I saw the match ๐Ÿ˜Š I had the same thought too ๐Ÿ˜†Joty is my fav Bangladesh women team captain. She has great leadership qualities. I seen her backing up her bowlers several times even when they go for runs, and calmed them down. Loved BDโ€™s batting intent and howbthey used the powerplay. Shamima was brilliant with her 49(30) unfortuante to miss out on a 50.

Sri Lanka Women have won the toss and have opted to field

12:50 pm Local Time: After the men's tournament, we're in Sylhet, Bangladesh for the women's Asia cup T20 tournament. We started off with the hosts humbling Thailand in the first match of the day, but this afternoon clash promises to be a cracker. It's India taking on Sri Lanka, two teams which can count themselves as favourites to play the final, although the others will have equal claim on it. India might be the team with pedigree, but they're a work in progress as far as T20 cricket is concerned. On the other hand, Sri Lanka have shown flashes of brilliance, but they're coming off a long hiatus and a poor show in the Commonwealth Games. But sub-continental conditions means that it becomes an equal playing field. Which team will start on a strong note? Toss and team news shortly..
