Chhan Chhan was not a failure. The concept was fantastic. A clash of ideologies. Since time immemorial, wars have been fought due to a difference of opinions.
(In fact, forget about the World Wars. Just look at the fandom here, at IF!!!)
The cast ensemble was exemplary. All the actors did their best till the last moment - which is more than I can say for some of the creatives. After the initial goof up, (were they paid off?) the main male lead was accepted whole-heartedly. In fact, hats off to Anuj for taking on a sinking ship!
So, if the concept was great, the cast was great, what was missing? Well, when even the script writer says it is not necessary to bother writing well in scripts for the TV shows, what does one expect? The execution sucked, the script sucked, the dialogues sucked...
But Chhan Chhan, in itself as a concept was awesome.
And for Sanaya to go forth and venture in uncharted territory was not only courageous but showed her exceptional acting powers as an actor, who would rather try out different genres to become a better actor.
So, bravo! Sanaya!
And well, done to all the cast of Chhan Chhan.
On another note, the interview that Sanaya did with Team SaRun made it abundantly clear, how thoughtful she is. She ended the interview hoping that the rest of the cast and crew would find jobs in this industry.
It is pretty obvious that for Sanaya to find a job in this industry is second to breathing. She is much in demand. Her work speaks for itself. She is globally known for her acting prowess. (Many like me, International non-Indian viewers, watch shows just for her.)
But she actually spent some moments praying that the others would find a job soon, too.
This, is what Sanaya is all about. Somebody who believes in dignity for all.
Much like Chhan Chhan.
A show, of which the concept was awesome.
A show, of which the cast was tremendous.
But a show, of which the entire production sucked!
