It's time for you to go back in time and witness one of the first freedom fighters that India ever saw "Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap". Yes, Sony Entertainment Televisionis all set to bring for you this historical drama inspired by the life and times of the 16th century Rajput ruler. Rana Pratap had defeated the Mughal army in Dewair and from this battle onwards Rana Pratap moved from being defensive to offensive and in a very short time he regained all the lost land of Mewar except Ajmer and Chittor which he could not conquer till his demise.

Abhimanyu Singh, producer of Contiloe Productions who was last seen making Jhansi Ki Rani, will be making Maharana Pratap for Sony. Did you know that while making Jhansi Ki Rani Abhimanyu kept coming across the fact that Maharana Pratap was a major source of inspiration to Rani Lakshmi Bai?

So, do you think that the audiences will be set to watch historical drama in the age of reality shows and romantic drama? Well, by the looks of the previous historical shows such as Jhansi Ki Rani, Veer Shivaji, Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan andShobha Somnath Ki have received positive reviews.
