I've been humming this song all day, I think that's what brought on the bout of inspiration for the first page - Tum sabko chhodkar aa jao - and it fit with the context too! π

Appreciate Sayani for her skills.
This is beautiful Ritu, but your fav attempts matlab?
Have you danced to this too?
This looks like Bharatanatyam to me (though I'm no expert)
Today being MahaShivaratri, here's a beautiful song-dance tribute to Shankarji, by the legendary Travancore sisters: Padmini and Ragini
Hoke rahegi jeet usiki, jiski kala se Shankar jaage...

Fav attempt as in one of the most amazing covers I've seen on the internet, technique-wise.
I am not a Bharatanatyam dancer, I am a Kathak girl, but yes I have attempted Tandav in my learning days. Too bad I never got to perform it as the function was cancelled.
[Ughh- schools I tell you, anyway]
There are very less covers of Kathak dancers attempting Tandav and the other video I posted is one of the top ones I go back to watch. The precision is just out of the world. Though expressions aren't as apt as the first video both the dancers have done a commendable job.
PS : The one sitting in the beginning is Shruti Patki. Shruti didi is a well known kathak disciple of Pandit Rajendra Gangani along with Maneesha Sathe and belongs to Jaipur gharana. π
