Dance is the hidden language of the soul
- Martha Graham
Shantanu Maheshwari
Shantanu Maheshwari was born on the 7th of March,1991. After completing schooling from St.Joseph's college, Kolkata he shifted base from Kolkatta to Mumbai and completed his graduation in commerce from HR College of Commerce and Economics.
Coming to his dance, he was part of Anurag Dance Centre, Kolkata and from an early age he learnt the basics of dance from his mentor Anurag Mohta. In Mumbai, during his college days he became part of Street Soul Dance Crew. Fellow D3 colleague Macedon D'mello and D3 choreographer Nimit Kotian were also part of the same crew.
Shantanu has won many duo popping battles with Nimit K. as part of SSDC. He also won first place at the Nokia IndiaFest solo competition 'Footlose' in 2011, and his college team/crew were the champions in the group dance category.
Shantanu is not trained in any specific dance form but his talent and passion to keep growing and trying new things has made him perform his best in a variety of forms over time, from hip-hop to folk dance, bringing versatility in him as a dancer. He is known as an outstanding popper but enjoys dancing Bollywood routines the most. He idolises Govinda, Javed Jaffry and Prabhu Deva as dancers.
He was spotted at Nokia IndiaFest, 2011 by the Cinevistaas casting team who were looking for talented dancers for their upcoming show D3. After a series of auditions, he was roped in to play one of the lead characters, Swayam.

To put it simply, Swayam is every girl's dream. He is selfless, grounded, level-headed, intelligent and is defined above all by a love that is unconditional, intense and lasts as long as every breath in his being. And he loves only one girl, Sharon. From D3's beginning to its end, we see him undergo a long, meandering journey with his love for Sharon as its focal point. He goes from being unbelievably perfect to not-so-perfect and eventually becomes a full-blooded human character with fantasies and flaws alike. This makes him, in a sense, more perfect because along with making him strong, endearing and passionate, it makes him believable too. Second only to his love for Sharon, is his love for dance and he has more than enough talent to back it up. Developing all the right skills and all the right qualities to be a good leader, we watch him become the perfect captain for any team to be led to victory by.
Vrushika Mehta
Vrushika Mehta was born on 18th February. She originally hails from Ahmedabad but stays in Mumbai where she is pursuing her education from Tolani College of Commerce. She has won many college level competition including the prestigious Dance Mumbai Dance - 2011 (duo) hosted by Terence sir. She joined the cast of D3 to play the role of Sharon Rai Prakash after series of auditions after Sneha quit the show. Although contemporary is her strength but she has shown her versatility and talent in various dancing style over the period of time including bollywood, hip hop, folk and even classical.

Sharon Rai Prakash
To put it simply here too, Sharon is a firebrand. Which is probably why Swayam affectionately refers to her as "Siren" Sharon. Don't be fooled by her volcanic temper and diva attitude though, because beneath that super tough exterior is a soft core of mush. She may have spent over two years denying it, struggling against her own emotions, but she has loved Swayam as passionately as he loves her for much longer than she will ever admit. Her fierce loyalty towards her friends is matched by her passion for dance, and she has always been THE Dazzler among the Dazzlers as they were formerly known at St. Louis, even after they transformed into team D3. As we accompany her on her journey through the show, we watch her transform from the uber image-conscious rich brat who uses her arrogance as a guard against the big bad world, to the loving, level-headed young woman who finally lets the world see her because of one young man, the one who finally made her feel strong enough to lower her guard and let her emotions breathe: Swayam.

Swayam and Sharon : SwaRon
When the firebrand meets every girl's dream, the love story that follows is nothing short of extraordinary. For two characters as diametrically opposed as these two, coming together is a predictably long and difficult journey, fraught with obstacles that are as much born out of external realities as they are out of their own inner demons. Opposed though they may be, they are nevertheless a perfect, almost providential fit. To say that Sharon is a complicated girl is an understatement, and her erratic emotion swings are balanced by Swayam's limitless patience during the initial development of their equation. Her wish is his command, what she says is always acceptable, every mistake she makes is always forgivable and her flaws only bring her that much closer to his heart. He is the only one in the entire college who is able to see through the exterior and recognise who she is inside. As their relationship develops, they take on a few qualities from each other - Swayam has a few impulse attacks and Sharon acquires surprising maturity in some situations...but one thing that never changes is how deeply and passionately they feel about each other. It takes Sharon more than two years, several showdowns and many breakdowns to finally be honest with herself and say the three magical words, and the sight of Swayam holding her in his arms is a thing of magic. Their journey from there on only gets more exciting and though there are rough patches, the phenomenal marriage proposal in a rundown village seals the deal and makes for a happy ending all on its own, making it clear that these two beautiful people have a beautiful future together, filled with happiness, warmth and unconditional love.
Vrushika and Shantanu : VruShan
If ever there was a crazy pair of co-stars who made sure every interview gave fans something to smile and laugh about, it is these two. Shantanu, with his sneaky sense of humour sprinkled with intelligent sarcasm and Vrushika with her almost-blonde wide-eyed reactions make for tremendous off-screen fun. Working together, they have managed to complement each other so well that within three months of Vrushika's arrival, the SwaRon fandom was in love with her as well as the Sharon she brought back. Shantanu, on his part, took on the role of her guide for the longest time and we watched them both open up in front of the camera and gain greater confidence by and by. Their on-screen chemistry as SwaRon was, of course, sensational and made all the right noise in all the right places, eventually bringing to them the brightest jewel in their crown - the ITA award for Viewer's Choice Favourite On-Screen Jodi.
