"congrats bhai.. you have actually achieved your purpose.. Sharon had left the show... she had left the show... the show which was her life.. she had left it because of you..." taani couldn't help but shout at him...

Swayam was pacing aimlessly in the basketball court with a hundred thoughts running in his mind... he could just think about his transformation as a human being... within just a few months he had turned into a person he always wanted to become... and his mind refused to stop ask him this question... who has forced him to change??

He knew the answer... it was Sharon... probably it wasn't.. probably it was just the few hours when she used to turn into the voice of Mumbai...

May those few hours was only her work...

But then could an act , more appropriately a pretention , a lie has the power to make an impression so strong in someone's mind and heart , that can change the entire beliefs on which a person's life was heading...

Over the last few days , swayam has observed Sharon very closely... there wasn't any striking physical change in her ... she was never the kind of girl who would strike up a conversation with someone randomly or hangout with a few friends... but he had seen a different Sharon for some time at least.. he had known the Sharon who would smile at herself for no particular reason when no one is looking at her.. he had known the Sharon who would jump in a pool of mud... but since the last few days he had found her a bit paler than usual... her eyes looked distant... she looked tired... and to his utter objection it had started to bother him...

His thoughts were broken when nil and amar had joined him there...

Nil and amar were bouncing the ball for an one on one match and swayam kept leaning on the net laughing at their comedy...

He didn't take a second to understand Sharon was there... he had seen her walk outside the court through the lane... she had her files tightly wrapped in her arms and her hair was tied loosely in a messy bun...

He quickly checked his watch... it was only 7 in the morning...

"what is she doing here this early?" he asked himself and looked around.. not a single student was there in the premises...

He glanced back at her to find her walking looking ahead... wait a second can't she see the god damn roller skate... this girl is nuts...

He knew Sharon would step into the skate after walking for a few yards... he found himself straighten up in concern... should he just call for her and warn her... every fiber of his body wanted Sharon to not get hurt... but some part of his mind kept bothering him about why was he so concerned about her.. wasn't she the same girl who has cheated his team... wasn't she the same girl who has played with all his emotions...

He didn't even realize that during all this time when his thoughts were processing in his head , Sharon had walked the distance and was about to step on it...

"watch out..." His voice faded as he saw Sharon slide on it and fall on the ground with a loud thud...

Sharon has heard his faint voice and looked at him... her eyes had already turned watery with the shooting pain through her ankle...

Amar and nil had left the ball and was about to walk out of the court when swayam stopped them...

"its okay... get back to practice... she is not hurt..." He said looking straight into her eyes ..

Sharon flinched.

Nil and amar looked at him in disbelief...

"what??? She is not hurt .. I am telling you..." he said looking at them and then looked back at Sharon... "and now she will behave as if she can't get up... I am sure..." He felt so shallow as he uttered the words... at that moment he knew he loved her , because saying those to her made his throat burn...

She flinched , again.

Amar and nil felt their blood drain out of the body listening to him...

Sharon knew he won't come to help her... he won't let anyone come... she placed her palm on the ground to take the pressure and get up but her elbows too ditched... the skin near her elbow has reddened with clotted blood... she felt her body shiver... she felt all the nerves in her body go numb...

Rey was about to walk in the court when he saw swayam , nil and amar staring out... he followed their gaze and without thinking for a second walked out...

"you okay?" rey asked her without looking at her...

She didn't reply.

He knelt down and picked up her books and offered his hand to her... she knew she can't get up without his help...

After she was standing on her leg , rey asked her softly... "do you need any help?"

She shook her head taking the books from him and walked to the college as her cheeks started to get wet ...

Swayam was walking through the corridor in the evening to get out of the college and head towards home... he couldn't help but stop in his tracks hearing some sniffs from inside the abandoned corridor... He moved back and slightly pushed opened the door to peep in...

Sharon was sitting there leaning on the wall clutching her bag close to her chest... at that point of time swayam wanted to rush down the stairs and rock her in his arms like a baby but loyalty for his team and sharon's silence stopped him...

He stood there trying to gauge each of her reaction... after a few minutes probably , he had not counted the time , he found her opening the bag... Within a few seconds the bag was on the stairs and Sharon was looking at a bunch of paper... without thinking for a second she tore them into pieces...

Swayam didn't take a fraction of second to realize that those were her poems... he didn't know how to react , for that matter if he should react or not...

How could she? One half of him wanted to run to her and blast the blood out of her for having the heart to destroy the thing which made them...

Another half him was almost lifeless... those were the memories...

One half of him told him , a lie shouldn't matter...

Another half poked him with the thought that might be she has done this out of extreme exhaustion... she won't do it otherwise... she can't...

Frustrated with the conflict that he was facing , he decided to turn and walk out...

Swayam was frustrated with everyone and blasting over Sharon... this morning the first thing that he knew after stepping into the college was VP sir blasting him... the monthly cultural report was not submitted till now... and the work was to be done by Sharon rai prakash but obviously she has other important stuffs to do like sharing their team routine with her "friends" and thus swayam has ended up in the rehearsal hall fuming in anger...

"morning dude..." Rey came inside to find a fuming swayam...

"rey that girl didn't submit the report and VP sir blasted ME for something which I haven't done .. for that matter can never do..." he retorted back...

"chill swayam... we will figure out..."

"woaah... figure out??" he let a sarcastic chuckle... " let that girl come now.. I don't even know what will I do after seeing her face..."

Before he could complete , they heard the door creak open and Sharon come in with a straight face...

"there comes miss responsible ACS of ST.LOUIS..." swayam smirked at her folding his hands at his chest...

"swayam..." rey looked at him in an attempt to check his tone...

"where is this month's report???" he came directly to the point...

Sharon didn't have any account of date , day or time these days , so she hadn't realized that the month had ended and she has skipped the report submission... she knew whatever she would say would be taken in an opposite way by swayam which would end in another set of insult by him... as if her staying quiet wouldn't do that...

"now ma'am wants to keep mum..."he said sarcastically... " you won't have any profit giving a simple project file to your friend..." he said hinting at shivam... "ship for something big..." He couldn't finish what he has started because he heard a familier voice fill up the hall...

"swayam shekhawat..." He looked back to find her standing at the door.. the girl who for the first time had called him swayam...

Taani knew it was time... it was time to break some promise.. it was time to face the consequences... it was time to speak out a few things without leaving it unsaid...
