A lot of people from the Sikh community, who were living abroad, had cut their hair after the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre. The reason is, the people from this community were misunderstood and harrassed (to put it mildly) by North Americans after those attacks. So they cut their hair to mix with rest of the population.
Apart from this reason, nowadays, many youth from the Sikh community cut their hair due to practical ease in handling hair or even fashion. I remember having one such classmate back in my school.
As for why KW didn't wear a pagdi, whether this was due to the demands of the character he played, or KW didn't want to, that only the makers can tell.
So far I have watched CM till Episode 9, and it is becoming more and more interesting with each episode. ❤️ Yet to catch up today's episode.
If she'd said his father should have slapped him, that would probably dug up his wounds more because his father IS physically abusive with him already. God knows how Aditya might have reacted.
I still find Ginni's taunts non-offensive compared to the what Aditya spews. Today he compared the look of her dish with her looks, saying how terrible it looks just like her face - frankly, this was unnecessary. He could have just stopped at what a terrible looking dish this his. He crosses a line so she retaliates the same way. Isn't that how verbal sparring usually works? - you find out what offends the other person most and use that as fodder for your trash talk. That's what they both seem to be doing. Ginny has realised Aditya is touchy about his mom - so she keeps using his mother's name to taunt him as that has the maximum impact on him. Aditya knows she is sentimental about family values, so he keeps taunting her about that.

Adi ke baap ne use bahut mari and maybe that's why the dialogue writers don't much care for Ambar!!

Exactly!! Adi starts it!! He has no empathy and is nasty!! Think about it, it's her Dhaba, build one yourself if you are so intent on fulfilling your Mom's dream that you crush someone else?
Does he ever stop to think, would his mom approve of his methods?

He's gotta do a lot of repenting!! I love Adi because Wahi is playing him but man, I love Ginni more!!
