I think those on the Magadhan side and Chanakyan side can be very happy and pride themselves on having their own in-house X-Ray Visionists in their camps, Nandini and Chandra! Saves a lot of time for medical practitioners treating wounded soldiers. Chandra has an even easier plan! He is for the wounds not healing school of thought to make soldiers remember their previous defeat. So you bet he is not going to get them treated at all.
I am personally liking Chandra and Helena. They are looking highly believable and I am able to relate to them.
Now I had another problem with this gladiator balcony viewing of ladies. Supposing some soldier manages to sneak in the din and confusion of the battle and takes a nice shot at the ladies or manages to kidnap them while they are having all this entertainment? It is a no holds barred war now, and Chanakya will not hesitate to use even underhand means to clinch a victory.
I usually thought all the royal ladies hustled into a big and safely protected hall, and sought regular reports of what was happening in the war outside, ready to take whatever decision the situation needs and warrants. Supposing the war went against them, they either took their lives by jumping in the fire or poisoning themselves. If they had an option of going elsewhere to a place of safety, they went through secret underground tunnels to that place.
The ladies and their silly comments occasionally take away from the entire seriousness of the war proceedings below. Chanakya and Helena though doing the same thing from that hill, do not make this entire exercise ridiculous. Chanakya has to give instructions to Chandra and Helena of course has to stay with him for the sake of her own security.
There was one more thing which stuck me, why hasn't Rakshas or Nand pounced on the fact that Chanakya stands on that hill giving Chandra instructions. Isn't it possible to just kidnap Chanakya and Helena? That way Chandra would be all alone and nobody would be left to co-ordinate the behind the scenes war arrangements. I wonder why no one thought about that?
I am happy that my criticism about the lack of surprise element in the two failed attacks by Chandra was taken care of by bringing in the spying angle. Now Chanakya and Chandra are trying to build up their own intelligence and spy network to counter Nand and Amatya's network. The way Chanakya exposed the mole in their camp was also fabulous.
