It was around 5 am in the morning, Nivi was doing some file work in her room. Finally after working all the night, she was able to finish her work. She looked up at the watch and decided to go out for jogging rather than taking some rest. She went ahead and after one hour, she came back to her apartment where she is living alone right now. She began to cook food and did all the other chores. Finally at 7 am, she headed for a bath and got ready for the office.
While on her way to the office, she kept rubbing her hands nervously. She was wondering what's gonna happen in the office today. She was supposed to give a presentation regarding the work given to her by her boss, Surveen Sharma. "Everything is good Nivi, don't worry, Surveen is a nice boss, you know that", she said it in her mind.
She reached her office and gave the presentation without getting nervous. At the end, everyone clapped for her even her boss was among them. She was so happy that everything went well.
Her boss called her in the cabin. Nivi began to wonder why she called her up in her cabin. Thinking about the same, she went and opened the door.
"May I come in Madam?"
"Yes come in Nivedita. Sit. There is something I want to talk about '"
"Ok!!!"
" Nivedita you know our company is merging up with an international company so that we can expand our business abroad as well. You have always impressed me with your work and I want you to handle this business transaction. This company wants to know more about our business, so I need you to assist this company's managing director for few months. Now go, he is waiting for you at the reception."
Nivi went out and banged her head on the opposite wall. "Why me always? Just now I finished my work and was thinking about taking a leave today, something was bound to happen like always. God never want to see me happy."
She sighed and went towards the reception area of her office. She saw a person standing there reading something.
"Excuse me???"
The person looked at her. She was shocked when she looked at the person. She felt her hands shaking. Unable to believe on what she saw, she closed her eyes and said "it's a dream Nivi. It's just a dream."
She opened her eyes and said in a trembling voice "Viren !!!!". "I assume you are the person who is gonna assist me in this deal. Next time show some respect to your senior and call me 'Viren Sir'. Now take me to your boss." Viren replied rudely.
Nivi beckoned him to follow her. She was still shaking with the shock she got few minutes ago. She clasped her hands together in an attempt to stop them from shaking.
Outside her boss cabin, Viren stopped her and went inside. Memories began to flash back in her mind. The golden days she spent in Shimla. From past 2 years, if anything made her smile that was the moments she spent there. Moreover sometimes these memories made her cry quite fair times too. Still feeling numb, she saw Viren coming out. He said "Come."
He opened the cabin and let her in. After looking around for few minutes and sat on the chair. He looked at her with hate and said "now till the moment I am here, you will follow my orders. I don't want any arguments with you so never try to argue with me, Miss. Sharma."
"So today is the first day when you will be working under my charge. I don't want to have an impression on you that I am a very strict person or any thing like that. First I want to see your working skills. Your boss is very impressed with you I noticed that, but don't expect the same from me. Today'."
He looked around, picked up a very thin but dusty file having barely 4-5 pages. He threw it at her direction. The file fell on floor. He said "remove all those errors from the file. Today this is the work you got to do. You can leave now Miss. Sharma."
