recent IV of PD. Humble but sounded a bit irritated with the questioning.
I like how he kept correcting the interviewer and saying he likes singing all kinds of songs and not just love songs!

Thanks for sharing this.
Interesting perspective at one point : prithvi kitni badi hai, lekin poore universe ke saamne kitni chhoti hai! I can totally imagine a pahaadi person having this perspective. When you come face to face with the mountains, that's when you realise how insignificant you really are! And for them, that is their reality every lived moment. Whatever roads, dams, railways, buildings they may see - but one small angry tremor from the mountains or one angry torrent of rain and it all becomes just rubble.
One can't help but like this guy 👍

And I forgot to mention... Interesting how they have spelt his name in Assamese as "Pabandweep". "Deep" and "Dweep" have very different meanings 😄
A fantastic interview of the admin of the pawandeep.arunita fan page, which I think is the biggest fan page of theirs. The one about whom I posted above.

One of the most popular fan pages of Arunita and Pawandeep. Got to meet both of them at Karamsad yesterday, 11 Feb 2023. Both of them very sportingly signed the poster, and Arunita even wrote message for all fans.

Pic 3 of 5 in this post is the one that shows Arunita writing the message on the poster.
Pawandeep's new song Yeh Dil Mera.
It is a bit too short! You always want his songs to go on a bit longer!
I would say this is good music and well sung too, but probably not a chartbuster. For me his best is still Timro Hamro Bhet, the Nepali solo.
I had thought he had played the Tabla in this (based on some reels seen in the past) but his name does not appear in the credits. So maybe that is something else.

SET india posted this comparison video of Bidipta and Aru! I can’t believe Sony would post comparisons like this.
Feel bad for Bidipta. She is still a contestant on the show and trying to get votes and clearly Arunita outshines !
When I saw Aru live on stage, she looks so very young and pretty and that voice is god gifted. Melodious! None of the II13 girls can even come close to it.
This was among Bidipta's weaker performances..on top of that comparison with Aru..whose every single note displays emotions
More on-stage magic, continuation of the above. The student is learning well from the Vidushi 😄
Revisiting Gham Jhai Baleki, the Nepali duet of Arunita and Pawandeep.
Recently on a drive I was listening to my Arunita - Pawandeep playlist (solos and duets). When this song came up, I listened to it carefully on loop a few times.
Here are a couple of interesting things I noted.
First, points to remember:
1. Neither of them really speaks Nepali fluently
2. However, Kumaoni is a little close to Nepali and Pawandeep has sung a few Nepali songs in his old concerts
3. But for Arunita, this is a totally new language
Now the observations:
1. The mukhda of the song is repeated after each Antara. If you pay attention, you will find that it is not as if the mukhda has been sung once and used multiple times. It has been sung separately each time, and both of them bring variations into it each time. This is especially true for Arunita, who variations are prominent and immediately discernible.
2. Towards the end of the song, there is a portion where both of them are singing. Of course, this must have been recorded separately and then overlaid - that's at least how we saw the images / videos, that there was only one person in the recording booth at a time, unlike in Tere Sang Jhoom Jhoom Laage. Despite this asynchronous recording, and despite this being a new language for them, they are in perfect sync on each and every syllable. There is never a point when you can hear one voice is ahead of the other.
Listen to it carefully and enjoy.
