Ye Honsla. An 18 year old song from the movie Dor, composed by Salim Sulaiman and sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali.

Now Salim Sulaiman have released a reprise version by Pawandeep. The tune is the same, but the musical arrangement and production is by Pawandeep himself. Primarily acoustic guitar.

The original had a little bit of classical touch considering Shafqat Amanat Ali is skilled in that. That is not Pawandeep's forte and to that extent this song has been sung differently.

Having said that, Pawandeep does full justice to the lyrics and mood of this song. Combined with that, the video directed Yuvraj Verma and shot by Rohan Kapri (we've seen this duo on most of the Musiq Pie songs) is also very apt. In between the long shots of Uttarakhand, the video tells a story that is in line with the lyrics.

Salim merchant has been effusive in his praise for Pawandeep - both in the announcement reel on IG as well as in the video description, and I feel it is justified.

Yeah, they are known for having that impact, especially Arunita.

Yes, absolutely! Right from the auditions of II12 I have been rooting for Arunita and / or Pawandeep to be the winner / winners. And I still follow their singing and in general their life.
