He started his career as an assistant director, and made his debut as a director with the 2005 film Zeher which was a moderate success. He followed it up with Kalyug, which was both a critical and commercial success. His third film Woh Lamhe (2006) did well and received critical acclaim.[citation needed]

His next film Awarapan (2007) was both a critical and commercial success.[citation needed] It was a copy of the Korean film 'A Bittersweet Life' from 2005.[citation needed] Ironically, Mohit, in an interview given to Radio Sargam, said, "I am very critical about my own work. I would never ever go out and say that I have made a masterpiece. I just give my best and hope that it's good enough."[1] His preceding film Crook, based on the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia was released in 2010. Murder 2, a sequel to the 2004 film Murder was released on 8 July 2011.

His sister Smiley Suri has also appeared in his film Kalyug and Crook. He married Udita Goswami on 29 January 2013.

this is a film starring Shiney Ahuja and Kangna Ranaut and directed by Mohit Suri. The film is supposedly based on Parveen Babi's life, her battle withschizophrenia and her relationship with Mahesh Bhatt to whom she was a lover as well as a mentor in his struggling days.

a 2007 Bollywood action-crime-thriller film produced byMukesh Bhatt and directed by Mohit Suri. It is the first Indian and Pakistani joint production film. It stars Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran and Mrinalini Sharma in lead roles.Awarapan released in India on June 29, 2007 under the banner of Vishesh Films, to widespread critical acclaim. The trendy hairstyle of Emraan Hashmi was well received by the audience which went to become a craze.


Raaz - The Mystery Continues(2009)

it is not a direct sequel to the 2002 movie Raaz The film deals with issues of the "evil within" the human psyche and how it manifests itself. It is based on the myths and superstitions that are still widely existent in the contemporary Indian society. The film attempts to challenge one's beliefs about paranormal phenomena. Emraan Hashmi plays a painter, named Prithvi, who has an extraordinary gift. His paintings tell Nandita's (Kangna Ranaut) future.
