Salman Khan is unhappy that his fans will have to shell out more to watch his forthcoming film 'Ek Tha Tiger' in a multiplex, but the actor says the ticket price will come down eventually a few days post the film's release Aug 15.
"I don't think it ( price hike) is right, but being Aug 15 and much hype around the film, the prices have been increased. Moreover, the film is coming out after a year. I don't know what to say on this, I can't do anything about it," Salman told IANS.
Multiplex chains have reportedly decided to cash in on the buzz around the Salman-Katrina Kaif starrer by levying a 12 to 16 per cent hike in their ticket prices. "I think it is there for three days or so, then eventually the prices will come down," he added.

In the best phase of his career right now delivering back-to-back blockbusters, actor Salman Khan, however, thinks it is a dangerous place to be in as one does not know what to do next.
"I am happy that my films are doing well. But it is a very dangerous position to be in, as we don't know what to do in the next film. I don't know what to do right now," Salman said in an interview.
"If a script is full of action, and then there is a romantic film...the sudden change from action to romantic makes you wonder how is it going to work, so you don't know what to do," he said.
With three consecutive Eid blockbusters to his credit - 'Wanted', 'Dabangg' and 'Bodyguard', Salman is now ready with yet another promising film 'Ek Tha Tiger'.
"If there is a larger than life character in films that I do, then it becomes like no one can kill him...it will get boring. So it is a very dangerous position to be in, like if you take a film to a larger level then it is like too much is happening, if don't take it to that level then it is like first was better. You don't know what to do," the actor said.
Post his back-to-back hatrick with 'Dabangg' (grossing Rs 215 crore), 'Ready' (Rs 180 crore) and 'Bodyguard' (Rs 230 crore), not only the audience but even producers are pinning their hopes on Salman's forthcoming film 'Ek Tha Tiger'.
If there is any pressure of delivering another hit at the box office, Salman is not showing any signs of it.
"I don't feel the pressure...if it does not do well then it does not. We will see it in next film. If a film is good it will do well. If it is a bad film, it will bomb at box office. I believe audience is always right," he said.

Filmmaker Kabir Khan says Salman Khan's presence in " Ek Tha Tiger" will bring in the initial footfalls, but the film's content and direction will sustain it thereafter.
"I feel the film has stamina to run for a very long time. I hope the film goes way beyond the opening which is dependent on Salman. After that it is me and the film that I have made. I feel it has the strength to go a long way," Kabir told IANS.
"Ek Tha Tiger", releasing Aug 15, is his third directorial venture after "Kabul Express" and "New York". The movie, in which Salman plays a spy, also features his former lady love Katrina Kaif, making it one of the much-awaited films of the year.
The first look of the film was also widely appreciated. The buzz has led several multiplexes to cash in on its popularity by reportedly hiking ticket prices 10-15 percent.
But there's little that the director can do.
"That is not something that I can dictate to the multiplexes. They have said it is a standard practice they follow. When they feel a film is much-anticipated and is running during a holiday period or a festive period, they tend to mark up the price," Kabir said.
"Apparently, some time back (ticket) prices had been brought down, so the 15 percent mark up is just bringing it back to what it was three to four months back.
"So I don't think it is pumped up as much as it was done for some films a couple of years back."

A local court in Bhuj has been approached by a youth to restrain producers of Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger from releasing the film, which is scheduled to hit screens on the festival of Eid.
The 24-year old youth has been identified as Savajrajsinh Sodha is from Panandhro village of Lakhpat block in the border district of Kutch. He has filed a written complaint earlier this week in the Bhuj court claiming that the story of Ek Tha Tiger has been copied from his 25-page short story titled as 'Ranbaal nu Prem'.
Sodha's story talks about kids of spies from India and Pakistan respectively falling in love with each other. The film is also being projected as a story of the son of RAW agency falling in love with a daughter of an ISI official. The film has already has created controversy after the Pakistan government banning its release there, Sodha's specific complaint before the court is that the filmmakers did not obtain his permission before using the plot his story has had.
Sodha told TOI, "I wrote this story to send it for the Ketan Munshi story competition three years ago. The film's story is quite similar to my story. I am not saying that they stole my plot, but it definitely looks like that the film is based on my story. They should have sought my permission before doing that."
Sodha further said, "I have requested the court to direct the authorities to stop the film from being released."
Sodha, who is into full time writing poetry, wrote this short story for an entry in literary competition. He said that he developed this story on basis of descriptions he used to hear in his childhood from one of his elders was working for intelligence agency in the neighbouring country.
The court is expected to take up this case later this week.

A few days back, TV actor Saurab Raj Jain was on a drive at Bandra Reclamation when he spotted actor Salman Khan just before the signal. According to Saurab, Sallu bhai was blowing kisses to someone sitting in an autorickshaw.
Curious to know who had caught Salman's (who was driving at a relatively slow speed) attention in the autorickshaw, Saurabh overtook Salman's car to look at the mystery person sitting inside the rickshaw. The person turned out to be a little baby girl.
Saurab was amazed by the superstar's gesture and simplicity. At one point, when their cars stopped together, Saurab looked at Salman and said: "Sallu bhai, you are the best." To which, Salman responded with a smile. When asked about this, Saurab said, "Although I have seen Salman at various award functions, this one encounter will always be memorable."

New Delhi: Be it a zany cop in 'Dabangg' or a sturdy bodyguard in 'Bodyguard', Salman Khan says he likes to portray heroic characters on-screen. The 46-year-old actor says he likes it when his movies are larger than life and whether its romance, drama or action, he will continue depicting heroism.
"I want to portray heroism in every walk of life. It's not that I only want to do action films, if I get good comedy or romantic movies I will take them up but whatever I do has to be larger than life.
"I will do films which make people happy. I want families to go and watch films in theatres like we did before," said Salman, who was in the Capital today to promote his upcoming film 'Ek Tha Tiger'.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie also stars Katrina Kaif and will hit the theatres on August 15.
In his 24-year-old career, it is for the first time that he has teamed up with Yash Raj Films.
"I enjoyed shooting for the film, infact I think I enjoyed so much that others weren't able to have fun. It took many days to shoot the film and Kabir was nice enough to let us enjoy and visit the places we wanted to see," he said.
Salman plays a RAW agent in 'Ek Tha Tiger' and he says he chose the film not because of the banner or star cast but because of the script.
"I liked the script that is why I did the film. It is true that you get attracted to all other factors like money, star cast, banner, but it is very important that the script is good."
"That is the reason sometimes we compromise with the story but I think that should never happen because you won't be able to do justice to it," Salman said.
Talking about working with Sooraj Barjatya after a long gap, the actor said, "He has narrated a script and I have like it a lot. The tentative title is 'Bade Bhaiya', I like it but he is not sure if he wants to keep it."
