I read 3 online fics in same universe based on paranormal beings after completing B&B series and they were written in a better way IMO . The wolf and human part have distinct personalities and I absolutely love reading about the wolves’s antics and how sometimes they just hate what their human counterpart did

Yahoo for reading challenges. Finally a challenge I'm good at. I just picked up a new 700 page book, but now I'll hold off for another day cause I won't finish it by midnight.

Oh yes! Meryn is supposed to be the most powerful out there so that’s understandable , Aiden is kind of her trophy commander husband at this point but atleast he has his quirks and personality to banter with her, Male Meryn’s mate could have been the same Maybe from rival family or something to spice things up .

I liked Priest and his mate’s banter and relationship the best so far in the series except Aiden and Meryn’s ofcourse .

Book 16 will be based in Storm keep ?

Idk if the book I downloaded was missing few pages because the epilogue of 15th book was kind of vague , it only mentioned Caiden and current situation in storm keep but nothing about his mate or nightmares .

@bold - exactly! Ryuu and Sebastian are my favorite squires so far but Ryuu is obviously the best! Also, I am eagerly waiting to find out how powerful Ryuu is. He is obviously a dragon shifter which was implied by Meryn when she talked about the movie How to Train your Dragon in the 3rd novel - My Healer, and then there's the dragon tattoo that Ryuu gave her ofc

Yup, book 16 is gonna be in Storm Keep and nah, you aren't missing pages, the epilogue is indeed that short and just about Caiden and the current situation of the witchy city. Maybe because there isn't any talk about Meryn and Co. definitely visiting that city so the 16th one could be establishing that part. Or maybe, the author hadn't finalized Caiden's mate yet

Also, what do you think of Meryn's grandmother?

I mean, Meryn got those powers, her mother had those powers and so accurate and on point that even Kendrick was flabbergasted about how Meryn's mom could see the future with so much accuracy. So I wonder if Meryn's grandmother had those powers as well.

I mean, think of it, what if her grandmother saw how the future is gonna be and did what she did to make sure that doesn't happen. I could be overthinking this, that is why I am asking you

I have updated my log with the books I have finished reading, I have also added another book and if I finish it by early evening/late afternoon I might add an Erle Stanley Gardener and an Agatha Christie.

Seb is the real “Super squire mom” Meryn talks about I really like him esp the way he handles Magnus

I wonder if Squires will get mates, Marius has a quiet one and if I’m not wrong there’s a short book featuring her and Darius , I might read it today to up the word count let’s see if I’m able to find time for it before midnight

It was a very vague and lazy epilogue tbh even If author didn’t decide on his mate , there would have been better ways to put in a intriguing prologue for next story but anyways

Amelia and Zoe’s bros would be the next set of MLs ig , makes sense to keep last leg of story in the place where this all started

I’m more interested in Zoe’s brother than Amelia’s tbh

Oh! I thought of the same thing when they revealed how powerful baby witch Meryn and her mother was (‘ Amelia’s mother doesn’t seem that powerful to me )

but I can’t think of any premonition that will make one keep a small newly orphaned child hungry and abused , seems too evil and extreme to me

Grandma mistreating Meryn with heavy heart to make her sympathetic towards Xavier in future and befriend the demon would be some kind of twist ngl
