Currently working on my first novel, a scifi story (for now I would call it a space opera with some cyberpunk). My main inspiration are other scifi literature and some other media. I wonder if you could recommend me scifi authors from India, or any other South Asian country? Authors from the diaspora would do, too, as long as they write influenced mostly by their homeland culture.

Consider how traditional stories, folklore, or mythological elements from South Asian cultures can be woven into your sci-fi narrative. Authors like Basu and Singh often infuse their works with local culture and traditions, making their worlds feel grounded yet imaginative.
