Wow thanks for the tagsmiley1

One thing that always irked me was that Harry was the target of one of the most powerful wizzards and he was guided by another powerful wizzard and it never occured to him to learn advanced spells , jinxes and counter curses from Dumbledore , he survived an entire war with simple spells lile Stupefy and Expelliarmus smh

He should've atleast pretended to get along with Snape so that he could learn occlumency or whatever it was called , i don't remember the exact spelling

Thanks for joining the discussion, Pete! I was irked that Dumbledore never told him the whole truth, because it left him underprepared to face the situation by himself (when he had to)

Harry was smart too, because he utilised the simple spells yet defeated someone like Voldemort.

Idk how occlumency would have worked because Harry’s mind was a Horcrux too..If he learned occlumency, would he still be able to detect/locate the other Horcruxes?

He could've atleast prevented Sirius's death if he had learnt occlumency

I think, for me, the most devastating death was Sirius. I mean Harry had just found someone who could be real family for him.

Me reading that bit in OoTP:
