The 1980s dancing star, Mithun Chakraborty's return to the silver screen has seen him as choreographer for his son Mimoh's film Jimmy. Proving to be a supporting and encouraging father, Mithun once again chips in and helps him cast for his musical, Fast Forward, produced by Anjum Rizvi.
It is interesting how Mithun went about scouting for fresh talent for Fast Forward. He selected all the new faces from Sony TV's popular dance show Boogie Woogie. The idea struck him when he was invited to be a guest judge in the show.
Mithun says, "I had been to Boogie Woogie before and so when we were casting for characters of Mimoh's friend we thought of auditioning youngsters from the show since Fast Forward is a musical. It was a lot of fun. Fortunately, we found an extremely talented bunch of dancers. Let me tell you, they are not only dancers in the film but they have an important role in the film."
Anjum Rizvi, the producer of the film says, "We have selected a girl Alisha from Ranchi, Hrishikesh from Pune and Vedprakash from Punjab. We have also taken a lot of youngsters from a group called Rohan & Group from Nalasopara, together they will form Mimoh's group in the film. These people don't have adequate dancing facilities and yet they are brilliant. Through the film we will showcase their talent along with Mimoh, who is an excellent dancer himself. In fact the rehearsals have already started."
In Fast Forward Mithun will play a dance instructor. He and his son Mimoh are coming together to act in the film for the first time.
