T he dance-based show Boo- gie Woogie on Sony has been enthralling viewers for the last 10 years. The brainchild of Javed Jaffrey, Naved Jaffrey and Ravi Behl, the show has thrown up tremendous talent, many of whom have gone on to make successful careers in dance. They have given a plat- form to a cross-section of people to showcase their tal- ent on the small screen. There have been many spe- cials, like the recently held Mothers' special. Here women, in their mid-30s, who had never ventured on to a stage, found the courage to shake a leg on national televi- sion. For the coming season, a countrywide search for danc- ing talent will be flagged off with auditions beginning in Mumbai from February 16 to 20. The Boogie Woogie team will scour many more cities.
