The insider adds, "Since both these films are going to star Salman Khan in the lead roles, Sohail wishes to make the production values grand and is requesting Indian Films' officials to increase the budget to a much higher price. Though the production company hasn't given their nod yet, there are chances they may agree to it."
Sohail's Partner emerged one of 2007's biggest hits with a Rs 50 crore gross world wide. Sohail, who was the producer of the film, wants to make a comeback as a director. His last film as a director was the film where he launched himself as an actor, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002) but it was a box office flop. Since then he produced five films out of which only two made money – Partner and Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? Now with brother Salman - whose popularity abroad is soaring new heights - on his side, he intends to come back as a director with a big film.
Salman has specially kept aside dates from his busy schedule for both these films that Sohail intends to make. Salman's currently busy only with Subhash Ghai's Yuvraj and Boney Kapoor's Wanted: Dead or Alive. Both these are expected to be complete by mid 2008.
