Bhoot'na'th in a Bentley Producer Ravi Chopra offered SRK a luxury car for doing a cameo in his film for free but the actor said 'no thanks' By: Sonal Chawla
| car seva:Ravi Chopra and (right) Shah Rukh Khan | In Bollywood, like in life, there are no freebies. If someone does you a favour, you pay back. Almost immediately. When Shah Rukh got 31 stars to shoot for the title song in Om Shanti Om, he gave them gift hampers. Salman Khan gave Govinda a Mercedes as a thank-you for working in his home production. Vidhu Vinod Chopra gave Amitabh a Bentley for gracing Eklavya. And producer Ravi Chopra decided to steal this idea when SRK agreed to do a cameo gratis in Bhootnath. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Juhi Chawla.
All his stuff
Adds a source from the film, "SRK is making a guest appearance but he refused to accept any money. In addition to that, he is using his own clothes and accessories," says a unit source. According to sources, "Ravi Chopra wanted to get Shah Rukh something so he offered to buy him a Bentley. But SRK politely refused." In his trademark style, King Khan is supposed to have told Chopra, "I will accept the gift if the film makes Rs 100 crore after it releases." When asked about SRK's fees, Ravi Chopra said, "Shah Rukh Khan did a guest appearance and guests do not take money." About the Bentley, all he said was, "It's too early for me to say anything. Let's see!"
