At the premiere of the gangster flick, Shootout at Lokhandwala , in Mumbai recently, the real action was elsewhere and not on screen. The plot in this scene involved macho man Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi, who have been at loggerheads for the past few years, after failed relationships they mutually shared with an actress.
Salman and the entire Khan family came to see the film, which has brother Arbaaz in a prominent role. However, just before they arrived at the venue, Salman's friend allegedly made a request to the film's producer Sanjay Gupta. He asked him to ensure that Vivek, who plays the main role in Shootout at Lokhandwala , was nowhere around to hug Salman and create a scene for the media cameras.
Gupta is reported to have conveyed Salman's message to Vivek. Both actors were accommodated in different auditoriums screening the film at the multiplex. One had Vivek and his family and the other, Salman and the Khans.
A source close to Gupta, confirming the situation, added, "Vivek is a stunt puller. And he's said to be trying to make up with Salman after his infamous press conference against the actor a couple of years back. Bhai, however, can see through him and had anticipated some stunt at the premiere too."
Salman's irritation with Vivek apparently resurfaced recently, when a television channel reported that the actor had hugged Arbaaz Khan at a party in front of cameras. Salman is reported to have chided d his brother for mingling with his foes.
When contacted Sanjay Gupta, said, "It's all hogwash. There's no truth to this. Salman will never make such a request."
However, Sanjay Gupta's film premiere was made memorable for bringing Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi under one roof. And we don't have to mention the common chord between them.
