TIME FOR SOME ACTION! Salman Khan's 'salvo' on Shootout night made the film premiere action-packed (Agencies Photo)

At the premiere of the gangster flick, Shootout at Lokhandwala , in Mumbai recently, the real action was elsewhere and not on screen. The plot in this scene involved macho man Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi, who have been at loggerheads for the past few years, after failed relationships they mutually shared with an actress.

Salman and the entire Khan family came to see the film, which has brother Arbaaz in a prominent role. However, just before they arrived at the venue, Salman's friend allegedly made a request to the film's producer Sanjay Gupta. He asked him to ensure that Vivek, who plays the main role in Shootout at Lokhandwala , was nowhere around to hug Salman and create a scene for the media cameras.

Gupta is reported to have conveyed Salman's message to Vivek. Both actors were accommodated in different auditoriums screening the film at the multiplex. One had Vivek and his family and the other, Salman and the Khans.

A source close to Gupta, confirming the situation, added, "Vivek is a stunt puller. And he's said to be trying to make up with Salman after his infamous press conference against the actor a couple of years back. Bhai, however, can see through him and had anticipated some stunt at the premiere too."

Salman's irritation with Vivek apparently resurfaced recently, when a television channel reported that the actor had hugged Arbaaz Khan at a party in front of cameras. Salman is reported to have chided d his brother for mingling with his foes.

When contacted Sanjay Gupta, said, "It's all hogwash. There's no truth to this. Salman will never make such a request."

However, Sanjay Gupta's film premiere was made memorable for bringing Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi under one roof. And we don't have to mention the common chord between them.

Vivek is a show off and he dug his own grave but then Sallu is a lil childish too he carries grudges. I blame Ash she is the one they all fight over and now look at them.

thanks for sharing!

if this is really true... then i really think its something that should by now just be forgotton about! and if it hasnt then i feel that salman khan is considering himself too superior to not even let go of such an incident 😕 ! i have never heard vivek ever comment about this incident again, except saying that he has learned! and from media speculations, from salman all i hear is negative feedback!

i think salman doz think a bit too much of himself, he cant even forget soemthing that happened five years ago, which now is just the past!

and i dont think vivek is desperate for any media attention at all! wen he said all this in 2002, vivek was the most popular youngster/newcomer around!!!!!... he was everywhere due to his performances in saathiya and mostly company!! i dont think "desperation for media attention" was very important wen the media usually went after him, as he came wid a bang into bollywood!

sum ppl entirely misunderstand/misjudge vivek and make him seem lyk sum villain, whereas i think ppl only judge him thru this incident, which is weird and very unfair!

oh man didn't you read what sanjay gupta said that salman made no such request of keeping vivek away from him. this is all hogwash.

why should salman forgive him? the way he degraded salman n front of the whole world, it cannot be forgiven or forgotten easily. did rani forgive vivek? did diya forgive vivek? no, i haven't heard of it.

and vivek hasn't really asked for forgiveness, has he? i mean all he talks of are influences and catalysts and then says i have to swallow the bitter truths. if he had the guts he would come out right in the open.
