Ever since this movie was announced, I was wondering who the target audience really is? And the performance of Jigra only makes me wonder the same thing AGAIN!

I wonder the same... maybe YRF reconsiders the venture... at the moment I doubt that it will be succesfull - not even with Hrithik as the mentor.

If it was Alia with another popular actress, it might have had chances but I don't see Sharvari being able to do that. Of course all that might change if the trailer blows everyone and they manage to surprise everyone. On paper, tho its not making much sense.

It could be that the public interest into a women-driven spy-action movie might change but my feeling tells me "no".

Alia didn't give a convincing performance in her two action-driven movies as per member reviews and Sharvari still hasn't a prominent stardom, imo.

Well, future will tell smiley1

If YRF wanted a two-heroine spy movie, they had two lady superstars with Katrina and Deepika.

Alia has no starpower and even more than that, she's been soundly rejected everytime she does an action movie. Sharvari is still being groomed for stardom. But she doesn't have the momentum yet to be enough to counter the weak link that is Alia.

I genuinely don't believe Indian audiences have much interest in a 2-heroine action film, let alone if one of them is Alia. This film will go the way of Jigra. They are desperately trying to save face by adding in Hrithik but that will not work and will only damage Hrithik's reputation. You just know Alia and KJo will have PR articles claiming Alpha was Hrithik's flop film. Hrithik should have the sense to hopefully say no.

They can change the title to spy kids. That's the only way an action movie with Alia makes any sense.

Maybe they should release it on OTT directly

That wouldn't make sense as it is planned as a part of the Spy-Universe... better postponing and making the Tiger vs Pathaan after War 2 instead (of course with a r e a l l y good script)...but maybe, YRF want to make the movie to fill a gap as SRK and Salman are busy with another movie.

Aditya Chopra overestimated Alia's starpower and fell in the trap. YRF is lucky that Sharvari had a 100 crore theatrical hit . She is a known face now.
