I suppose the makers want to create such a positive high that the theatres get 'full house' for the premieres and the 4-day-long weekend (and if the theatres aren't 'full', they may buy the remaining tickets ).
According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 1 (which got released in December 2021) got - against a budget of (allegedly) 150 cr (with other sources giving 200cr and more) and after 10 weeks - an all India net collection of:
Total₹ 267.55 Cr [Te: 136.43 Cr ; Hi: 106.35 Cr; Ta: 15.74 Cr; Mal: 9.03 Cr; Ka: 0 Cr]
and a worldwide gross collection of ₹ 350.1 Cr (Overseas gross Collection ₹ 36.3 Cr),
so, of course, they aim for much higher numbers as the budget (allegedly) is between 400-500 cr...
Theatres would never give Chhaava a prominent screen count, not even in the Hindi belt with AA Films as the distributor for Pushpa 2.
