Nice name. It’s a beautiful Muslim name but I never heard any Hindu people name their children a pure Muslim name.

Either in movies or real life I see Hindus with names like Alia, Kabir, Ayesha, Sameer, all of which are Muslim names. I think I have also seen Saira and Kamal. I was always under the impression that some names just transcend faith regardless of their originality.

Both Sameer and Kamal are Hindu names......Sameer means wind or hawa....and Kamal is lotus flower.....Kamaal ...with a long aa sound as in Maa...is a Muslim name....Like KRK's name.....
But like you said ...who cares if it a Muslim name....Dua is a very beautiful name....that is what matters...

I didn’t know that that Sameer and Kamal were also Hindu names. I thought the Hindu name was Komal, or is that a completely different name?
Sameer is also an Arabic name and very common among Muslims in Arab countries. Its feminine, Sameera is common for girls even among non-Arab Muslims. It’s official meaning is joyful friend, though I have also heard it’s derived from description of a dark/wheat complexion, “Asmar”. Both could be true.

Alia's family has always confused me. I thought Mahesh Bhatt was Hindu but Emraan Hashmi is his nephew and he's Muslim. Then there's that whole nonsense of Mahesh and Soni Razdan copying Dharmendra and Hema Malini and converting so they could get married, which I always felt is so insulting to both religions as well as all family members concerned.
Mini-Paddu kay sirf charan-darshan ...

Alia-bhakts ki buri nazar se bachaanay kay liye kya ? 🤔

Ayesha is a pure Muslim name, yet for some strange reason some Hindu Bollywood celebs have this name...
Ayesha Shroff
Ayesha Jhulka
Ayesha Takia
