I think it does, it has held up well on Monday with only less than a 50% drop. By today it would have crossed 150 crores.

So just watched the movie it was OK in terms of entertainment but don’t hold out on the story or anything. They copied the Ramayan story and were trying to attach it to real life locations mentioned in the epic but didn’t translate well. Good promotion for Southern India, Sri Lanka and J&K tourism though otherwise just seemed like a film for glorified cameos.

Ranveer’s parts were enjoyable many laughs in the cinemas. Deepika is not a great choice for this character. I don’t know if the solo film will work, some slow mo walk were good but shes looking super out of place when attempting the hammy, slapstick scenes. That needs to come more naturally on screen. I really wanted a female cop movie in Rohit Shetty’s style, not sure how much of the solo film has been shot but I hope they can salvage it somehow.
