Back on topic, that was definitely an eye roll from Karishma. She’s usually extremely nice and sweet to everyone. I want to give her the benefit of doubt and say that eye roll wasn’t about Sharvari or anyone around her. The two ladies haven’t crossed paths in anyway so why would she have an issue?

Karishma isn't much different from her sister. The main difference is that Karishma learned to reserve her feuds and catty comments for off the camera while keeping a very sympathetic image publicly. But her 90s feuds with other actresses, like Raveena, reveal that she was never completely innocent. Apparently she used to make major taunts about Aishwarya too, particularly after the breakup with Salman.

Here she's caught because she didn't realize the camera was on her so we're seeing a glimmer of her true self.

One thing I did notice is that not only did she look annoyed, but at the very end of the eyeroll, she actually looks like she's grimacing in pain. The way her hands are folded too makes me think her reaction might have been to something else entirely because it's such an extreme reaction, that it really doesn't make sense being directed at Sharvari. It seems like she already was upset even before Sharvari walked by but this may be giving her the benefit of the doubt.

The comments are not so forgiving though. Lots of people noting how these nepo sisters and all the nepokids are graceless and lack basic manners. Old videos of Esha Deol and Kareena Kapoor at early 2000s award functions are also very revealing, especially when you compare them to their contemporaries like PC and Amisha. The former two come across as sullen and disinterested, Kareena's walk being compared to a dinosaur's, while PC and Amisha are given props for being so elegant and graceful.

Exactly, I'm actually a Karishma fan and it was because she's never had the same stories that Kareena has. Kareena's abhorrent behavior to basically everyone around her is why I can't stand her and just laugh when her fans talk about how well-adjusted and content she is now. How her past is all behind her and she's changed, because that's just because we live in a PR era where your every move is being captured with social media and phones.

So seeing this particular moment captured on camera has really disillusioned me with Karishma because it's reminding me that those stories that do exist out there about her are probably true. So much that I didn't include her in my post in the 10 ten memorable performances thread.

As I said in the post above, her reaction is so extreme here that maybe it's not directed at Sharvari at all. She seemed like she was already unhappy and maybe brooding about something, based on her posture and her eyes which seemed to be in pain. But that may be giving her the benefit of the doubt that she doesn't deserve so I'm not sure. Like you said, the quiet ones are often the worst ones and as sweet as she usually comes across in her public appearances, the very fact that she's Kareena's sister and so close to her indicates that they must have more in common than they don't.

She could just be bored. I roll my eyes when other people look overly chirpy during boring times. Looks like a boring event.
