Yes, it was. So was Dil Hai Tumhaara. Arjun Rampal's movies as a leading man rarely worked. But that doesn't mean both films can't be well-liked.
I don't know if Aish made that comment before or after she broke up with Salman. She'd been modeling with Arjun since the 90s so she probably knew him first.

The movie's songs and promotion so heavily depicted Ranbir/Katrina that I was confused in the actual movie when Ranbir doesn't even glance at Katrina. That Katrina gets forced to marry Arjun and only starts to love him when he's killed.
All I can say is that Katrina was blind and crazy. Between these two brothers, she really chose Ranbir over Arjun??? I would consider it a blessing from the beyond to be "forced" to marry Arjun Rampal and she's acting like he's some consolation prize. Honey, your consolation is that you don't have to be stuck with Ranbir. That would be the real punishment.
love is not only about looks. Deepika loved ranbir in yjhd becoz he encouraged her to love herself, to live life fully. Aditya n Deepika didn't have any connection n Aditya was loved by kalki n he was liked by Lara's, friend also. Again kind of similar to what they did in YJHD. They turned Aditya’s character into an alcoholic, so average Joe Ranbir looked good next to him. I think in real life it is the opposite in terms of alcoholism.

Never said love is only about looks. But the alcoholic part did make him less appealing compared to Ranbir’s character. And it would make many girls dismiss you automatically. IMO
