Puhlease. RRR is as much Alia's movie as Stree 2 is Varun's.

At this point after all shenanigans, if they kick shraddha for someone else, it will flop. Way to ruin a good thing, all insecurities came out once it became a hit. I wonder they would have jumped to credits from shraddha if it had flooped.

Katrina/Deepika were ruling the roost during this late 2000s/early 2010s era. I still remember that Katrina's item song in Bodyguard was more talked about than Kareena's "performance." Kareena's item songs all flopped whereas Katrina's are still iconic and performed to this day. Whereas Kareena bragged about only working with Khans (forgetting that her Ra One was hardly some blockbuster and her roles with Salman and Aamir are flowerpot roles, Saif's movies all flop and same with Imran Khan's movies), Katrina had actual successes with them like Ek Tha Tiger and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, co-starring in the biggest new franchise and becoming the last of Yash Chopra's immortal heroines.

And Deepika took over after Cocktail legitimized her as an actress and she had her banner year of 2013 with Race 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, and Ram-Leela.

Very good points. Neil Nitin is considered a flop actor but his New York was a success because of Katrina. Imran Khan's career fizzled out and his films with Kareena both failed but his movie with Katrina was one of her big hits. She got Filmfare nominations for both films too.

Look at Ranbir's early films and notice that all flopped. The only two exceptions were his movies with Katrina: Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and Raajneeti.

Even 2007, which is the year when Kareena fans say she took over as #1 heroine, look at the box office records. In the top five movies of the year, Katrina stars in two of them which were both superhits: Partner and Welcome. Kareena is nowhere to be seen in the top five films of the year. Katrina is the one consistently leading at the box office for the late 2000s/early 2010s and of course Deepika comes into the equation then too with her banner year of 2013. Not to mention 2007 was ruled by her Om Shanti Om so both Katrina and Deepika were queens of the box office once Rani and Preity fizzled out, not Kareena.

Both movies will be DOA if they ever get made which I doubt. If YRF is insecure about SRK and Salman's collective stardom in a Pathaan vs Tiger movie, then there is no way they will ever give Alia her own solo spy film.

Alia's entire shtick is to follow trends set by other actresses. She is desperate for a spy film because of Deepika and Katrina.

She wanted exposure in the west like Priyanka and Deepika so she made that awful Netflix film which proved her real worth without KJo there to boost her.

Kalank was essentially an audition tape for Bhansali since she wanted Deepika's success with Bhansali films.

Rocky aur Rani was her attempt to become an iconic Dharma heroine, replicating Kajol's success (as KJo tried to make her and Ranveer out to be the next SRK/Kajol and this is after KJo failed to make Varun/Alia the next SRK/Kajol), but her sarees were more memorable than her.

Brahmastra and now Love & War are attempts to showcase her and Ranbir as the next power couple after Deepika/Ranveer but we've already seen that was enough to bankrupt Dharma and probably Bhansali next considering Love & War is getting no investors.
