1Ameesha Patel was first choice for Tere Naam but rejected the film which she regrets. Bhumi was good in the final film but I would have preferred a real star like Ameesha in the role. Her only other film with Salman was horrible even if it had great songs so this would have been a better vehicle for the two of them.
Ameesha was beautiful and stylish at that time and wouldn't have looked good as Nirjara.
Bhumika Chawla's looks suited Nirjara's character perfectly.
