Media...(not PR )...Merlikant talked to Times Of India...
the forte and the flaws:
I liked the movie, as such buri nahi thi. There was no need of most of the songs, especially that Padosi one (forcefully fitted in the movie and was extremely eww, even the men next to me found it uncomfortable).
The war scene was poorly done. Upar se bombs gir rahe hain, a structure has fallen and supporting characters are trapped beneath it. Usme Kartik ka character itne araam se gunny sacks hata raha tha unke upar se, ekdum fursat mein
Kartik is still a weak actor but he has improved, there were some emo scenes where he shines. Especially the one with his brother in Mumbai.
Vijay Raaz was so good. I loved that they didn't reduce him to a comic relief, instead gave him an author backed role.
Kartik really should take steps relative to his pr...
This movie - despite very good impression given by the majority of those who have watched it - is on the way to become a disaster at the boxoffice.
A déjà-vue when remembering other good movies with a similar fate...it really makes me sad as neither Kabir, nor Kartik nor his co-stars nor Sudeep Chatterjee (cinematographer) deserve that (although I couldn't watch the movie, yet, I'm sure of that).
Kabir’s direction is very good as usual but spoiled by some unnecessary songs and below average acting by Karthik.
Now I am convinced that all the heavy praises he was getting were either funded by him or his benefactors because please such bad acting cannot have such polarizing opinions.
And also literally every reviewer was mentioning how he being an outsider should be supported. I mean what kind of emotional blackmail is this? It’s not even subtle anymore. Why is it my responsibility as an audience to lift up any bad actor, insider or outsider notwithstanding ?
Why indeed ?Why is it my responsibility as an audience to lift up any bad actor, insider or outsider notwithstanding ?
From my understanding the film is “too much” with the boxing, army, and swimming angles.
Perhaps this would’ve better as a series
