If you think that his career began with Dabangg, then either you're unfamiliar with Bollywood's history or really young.

Salman became an overnight sensation after the blockbuster hit Maine Pyar Kiya released in 1989. I was in school at that time and I saw his craze among boys and girls. His leather jacket, sunglasses, and the 'Friend' cap set a trend among young generation.

In 90s, it was Salman and Shah Rukh competing with each other. Salman gave more hits than anyone else in 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. Salman has Hum Aapke Hain Koun!, Karan Arjun, Khamoshi, Jeet, Judwa, Auzaar, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kiya, Jab Pyaar Kisise Se Hota Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Biwi No. 1, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Tere Naam, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, No Entry, Partner, Wanted, Dabangg, Kick, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Dabangg 2, Tiger Zinda Hai, Bharat, Tiger 3.

Aamir became a star after Ghajni released in 2008. His 90s movies were forgettable flops. Salman has more hit songs than any other actor and everything he sported in his films (sunglasses, hairstyles, jackets, belts, watches) became a trend.

His flops bring in more money than the hits of other actors. His fan base has continued to increase over the years. Aamir was never a craze and has less fans than Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

Salman did a lot of movies with repeat value smiley1

Actually, I don't give a damn on the opinion of members like the TM.

It says a lot that I liked Tubelight and Tiger 3 (despite some flaws)... Salman went out of his way to show something different...his Laxman had my sympathy...and so did his character in Tiger 3...what do I care about boxoffice...I leave it to other people.

Adding: To me, Salman's and SRK's course of movies is looking into a part of Hindi-Cinema-history...Aamir's course is not so interesting to me...for whatever reason...

Creativity needs space...it seems that both are more comfortable with each other now.

Nevertheless, I wonder what happened with Fatima... relationship with Aamir still existing?

Same way took 20 years to cross Salman's HAHK Collection.

Even took 2 years to cross Salman's Partner Collection.
