He has great comic timing. I couldn’t control myself from laughing after most scenes.
Circus was a clownery movie...blame Rohit Shetty, not Ranveer...he played like a circus clown which was the task he got (and this task he fulfilled)... I really don't know what Rohit Shetty wanted to make out of the Shakespeare comedy. Already he messed with Dilwale...this was even worse.

Exactly, what people forget is that it is the director who decides how the actors act out the scene, they are the ones okaying the shot and deciding to put it into the movie, the actors are performing the way the director wants them to, and rohit wanted ranveer to act like that in cirkus, if he wanted ranveer to act differently ranveer would have
Ranveer sucks in emotional scenes too, his voice becomes babyish and starts to crack.
Some places I find him funny. Some places not.
But if we go at 90s era this era actors lack massively in comic timing. Not just RS
Govinda, Akshay even srk to some extent
