Ahead of its time, I always think.

Released in 2001, it was a refreshing departure from the typical Bollywood formula of that era. The film tackled themes of friendship, love, and self-discovery in a more realistic and contemporary manner.

One aspect that made it stand out was its portrayal of urban youth culture in India. The characters were modern, relatable, and faced dilemmas that resonated with a younger audience. The movie depicted the complexities of relationships, the importance of personal aspirations, and the evolution of friendships over time, all of which were relatively novel for mainstream Bollywood at that time.

Moreover, the film's visual style, music, and narrative structure were also ahead of their time. Director Farhan Akhtar brought a fresh perspective to storytelling, incorporating elements of Western cinema while still retaining the essence of Indian culture.

Thoughts/opinions?

PS - Don't get me started on the music. The songs are so beautiful, the lyrics hit hardsmiley27
