However, did you know that Saif might not be able to hand down a penny of this Rs 5000 crore property to his kids, Sara, Ibrahim, Taimur and

Jehangir Ali Khan

? Yes, you read that right! According to a report in a news portal, all of the properties and other relevant assets belonging to the House of Pataudi fall under the controversial Enemy Disputes Act of the Indian Government and as such, nobody can claim to be an heir of any of such property or assets that come under the purview of said act.

The report also added that if a person or persons wish to contend the Enemy Disputes Act and lay claim to any property or assets they feel are rightfully theirs, then they'll have to move the High Court, failing which, the next option leads them to the Supreme Court and finally, the President of India

Apparently, Saif’s great-grandfather, Hamidullah Khan, the Nawab under the British regime, never made a will to all his properties, due to which there could be some contention within the family, particularly from members descending from Saif's grand-aunt in Pakistan

I’m sure Saif, Soha and Saba would look into it so that Pataudi Palace will remain within their family..

Is it worth it? Maintaining that Palace sure is expensive.

Enrique's sister also inherited her father's titles and palace but she said that it was a ruin for her so she had to sell it

Lolo, Bebo, Soha and Saba keep sharing pics of the Pataudi palace when they visit there for a vacation. We can see from the pictures how well it’s maintained.

They would have lot of other ventures which would give them a steady income with which they could continue to maintain it, I guess.

Also, if Saif were to die of old age someday, his sons would inherit the Nawab Title and the Pataudi palace too.. right?

No they cant inherite any of the ancestral properties as per enemy property act.

They can still go there for vacation, stay there, take pictures n all but the kids wont be able to inherit the property.

It's a mension n not a palace btw.
