Vikram Vedha struggled on Sunday with collections set to be around 14.5-15 crore nett which will mean a weekend of 38 crore nett. The film could not find an audience in mass circuits over the first two days and the hope was that it could turn that around on Sunday which was stronger than a normal Sunday as it was a national holiday for Gandhi Jayanti
But it was not be as growth across mass regions is nothing like it should be and that too coming off low numbers for the first two days. The film has done okay in the bigger centres like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore and good business in Kolkata but at the end an action film even if it has limited appeal for the masses needs some sort of support from circuits like CPCI, UP etc and especially if its a big film.
It is pre Dussehra so there can be some boost for the film from Wednesday as maybe these mass markets will get a boost but for that to happen the film needs a strong Monday but the Sunday number does make this hold hard. Now the film need a 6-7 crore nett on Monday just to stay in the race for some sort of respectable lifetime number.
Bollywood should just put remakes to rest, we saw the underwhelming opening now for LSC and VV. Both original movies were available for streaming for OTT. VV is purely now surviving due to WOM and Hrithik's screen presence.

On top of lackluster promotions I feel the remake factor also did not help the film. BW should stop making remakes and focus on original scripts.
Post pandemic Reliance is trash when it comes to promotions. Sooryavanshi was promoted well because of Rohit Shetty only.

I know that this post of his isn't really related to the underwhelming BO performance of the movie because of the disappointment that is Reliance but this beautiful person deserves so much better.
I know he doesn't do a lot of movies but when he does, it's so evident that he puts in his absolute all and works so hard. Which was fully visible in his incredible performance. No matter what the fate of the film is, BOwise, Vedha will always be remembered as one of his best films and probably his best performance ever ❤️ I'm sure that he looks back with gratitude about getting to work with amazing directors like Pushkar-Gayatri, terrific actor like Saif, Radhika, Sharib etc, and most importantly, about how satisfied he's been as an actor.

I am an HR fan but i have never been partial with him coz I know as an actor he has his shortcomings too but I also know that if at 26 he could pull off a Fiza or a MK he has always had it in him to pull off anything. And VV is no exception. Yeah he has had his share of duds and dulls but this one is far far away from that. Rather in the league or much ahead of even the likes of Bang Bang and War. The story is told in a very creative way and Hrithik shares an impeccable chemistry with Saif and Rohit. I wish they had gotten a female lead opposite HR too, must have given a great shade to Vedha’s character because the best plot line of the film is Vedha’s vulnerability and his soft side that comes out for his brother/family. What I absolutely loved about this film is that the director has very smartly cashed on HR’s best asset and that is his intensity. Most directors fail here. While a BB or War tried to cash on his looks/swag, directors forget there is a reason a Harman Baweja couldnt be a Hrithik Roshan. It’s not always the looks. It’s the persona and the acting and the screen presence. That’s what you make most of. There’s this scene where young Shatak (Rohit Sara) gets stabbed in his hand and Vedha is all choked and teared up eyes bloodshot without saying a word. Damn HR is perfection in such scenes🔥🔥The reason i love him and this movie has plenty of them. Definitely gonna watch it again once it comes on ott.
